I just returned from Disney World with my family and knew about the construction around the 'Hub' area in front of Cinderella's Castle.

But here's my question: when is this construction expected to be completed?

Frankly (pun intended), we enjoy the fireworks from along the path with the new tables by Casey's. Just hoping everything is completed by our next trip in the Fall.

On a similar note, information about Downtown Disney Springs being completed by 2016 was easier to locate. While not obscuring a fireworks viewing location, the maze of construction walls were depressing between Marketplace and West Side.

Its been reported here that hub construction won't finish up until fall of 2015. Personally I think that's a bit of a loooong timetable for what they are accomplishing, but the fact that they can't exactly shut the hub down will slow construction considerably.

Yes, this does seem to be a longish time for what is being accomplished.

But something does need to be done to alleviate congestion.

Magic Kingdom Hub - 2015
Polynesian DVC - 2015/2016
Disney Springs - 2016
AvatarLand - 2017

Disney World 50th Anniversary is in 2021.

What else does anyone believe will be done by 2021?

What fireworks can be viewed at DTD? Where is the best location to view them?

while hub torn apart, how will the parade run ?

The hub construction shouldn't affect the parade. They are only filling in the water areas in front of the eateries on Main St, nothing with the roads.

God willing, Star Wars Land.

Would have been easier to just bring back the swan boats :woohoo:
