Hi. I'm looking for some up to date information. I found some old information that there was some neat firefighter memorabilia and a gift shop in the MK fire station. Then I found something saying they were going to close it down. The last thing I could find was from 2012. Can anyone share the latest? Does the MK fire department still exist? I'm looking for gifts for my firefighter brother-in-law and some ideas of things he might like to see on his trip.

The MK Fire Station is now a sign-up area for Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, a card game where you unlock "portals" hidden throughout the park. It is free to play. There is no gift shop or memorabilia located inside.

No gift shop, but the last time I was there, there were shoulder patches from departments around the country still on the wall. Nothing else really.

They didn't get rid of the station, it's just that inside is where you now sign up for SOTMK. It's still the fire station, and they still have the old-timey fire truck on Main Street. Signs for SOTMK say something like "Heroes Wanted: Sign up at the Main Street Fire Station."
