I know a lot of people said to take a break before the MNSSHP. However, I have 2 energetic kids and with the time difference, midnight is like 9pm in our time. So we are thinking of heading to the park mid-day to go to the rides they want to repeat.

My question is: how does it work if they tell the regular guests to leave at 7pm? Since we will be inside the MK before 4pm (the official time where MNSSHP ticket holders can enter), do we need to have a special band or something to show to the cast members that we are "allowed" to stay and not "kick" us out of the park at 7pm?

Tips and info as well as suggestions will be appreciated as this will be our first time attending MNSSHP.

We attended MNSSHP for the first time last year & it was also our first trip to Disney! Our kids were 9 & 7 and we never took any breaks. They too are happy energetic kiddos. We'd leave the resort by 7am every morning & wouldn't return until close to midnight. On our MNSSHP night, it was almost 2am when we got back! Our kids were perfectly fine. Now, we were on the deluxe dining plan, so I did schedule good table service meals. Those served as the perfect breaks for us!

And you're exactly right....at 4pm, they will have a few stations around the park for you to check- in & get your cute little MNSSHP bracelet.

Hope you guys have a blast!!

That's what we did last time we were there Jan 2012. Got to the park as soon as it opens and leave until the park closed. My kids were not cranky and for breaks, we just take our time eating or enjoying the funnel cake in one corner or ice cream. We are excited as my son is tall enough to ride all the rides and no more stroller for them.

And the good news is that MK tends to be pretty uncrowded during the day when there's a MNSSHP party in the evening.

People tend to avoid MK on party days because they don't think they'll get enough bang for their buck to go to MK because there's no evening parade or fireworks available to "day guests." So they head to other parks. That makes the crowds and lines pretty low at MK!

Good to know! Thanks a lot!

As for costumes, when can my kids start wearing them in case they decided to wear one?

I know for me and dh, we are just thinking of wearing a tshirt or something.
