Here is my best pearl of wisdom from a multi year visitor. The Magic Kingdom is one of the parks everyone wants to see. So with that being said it is also one of the busiest. If you can not afford the Fast Pass system and you are looking for a good attack plan here are a few to look at.

1. Find the off beat rides while the park is hoping. Unless you are a line diehard the popular rides will be hours long.

2. Come early then take a mid-day break then come back in the evening. (The all dayers will wind down and some will even leave. If you do this plan on closing the park.

3. Thunderstorm / Rain - First stay safe and find cover in the park. (Do not leave) Florida has quick showers all the time. I am amazed that there are usually large exoduses when it rains. This leave the park as yours once it stops.

4. Take advantage of multiple parade times - If they are having multiple parades plan on cramming as much as you can into the 1st parade ( you will see the fireworks from where you are) If this is your 1st and might be only trip dont do this. You really need to see the fireworks over the castle.

5. Have a plan of attack as to what is the most important to your family. You may be stuck into one of these multi hour lines. Dont loose out on part of your trip because of wait times.

I hope this helps someone. It has helped me in the past.

Thanks

I was commenting on the bracelet that you get from a season pass or staying in a resort

Offsite guests do get to make free fast passes. Besides FEA and 7 dwarfs everyone should be able to get days and times they want even if it is not available right when the fp window opens. If you keep checking you will probably get these as well. Your advice is good, especially the rainy day tip.

Thanks for the reply I am just trying to help people enjoy their trip because if you are not prepared some will leave frustrated that they couldnt see their favorite thing

Yes, I agree with this! Utilize fastpasses as much as you can. I think a good plan is to get there at rope drop and head straight to the big rides you want to do (Peter Pan, the Mountains, Mine Train) and have your three fastpass rides set up for later in the morning and into the early afternoon. After that, keep choosing additional fastpasses for the rest of the day! I think it's mostly a matter of prioritizing and knowing what your must do rides are before you get there.

Re: fireworks I would say that anyone who is going to the Magic Kingdom before Wishes ends in May, PLEASE watch it from the front of the castle. Even if you've seen it before..... PLEASE watch it from the front of the castle. It's the last time you'll ever get to see it, and in my opinion it's the best night show at Disney right now. Sad to see it go :(
