Magic Kingdom After Hours Coming Back!

It will be interesting to hear the price. $149 was a fail, they ended up offering half price for DVC and AP. I think they could sell it closer to $100.

It truly was an awesome experience but not worth $150 (unless maybe you did it instead of a one day ticket since they let you in at 7 pm last time). We did it at half price as DVC members and it was still a little steep in my opinion but was truly awesome. Rode 7DMT and BTMRR multiple times in a row with no wait. Most rides you could just stay on and keep going again and again without ever even getting off. Got pictures of us laying on Main Street with the castle behind us. Definitely felt like we had the place to ourselves.

I might do it for half the price. There's two of us adults. My boyfriend probably wouldn't want to pay extra for that though.

The nice thing about this one - at least in the past, was it didn't require separate admission and I think you got in to the park in time to see the nightime shows and then had the 3 hours with no/limited crowds. So for a short stay I think it could really make sense

Yes we got in at 7, I think the park closed at 11, and we enjoyed until 2 am.

We went last spring with the DVC discount and would definitely do it again, even at the higher price point. Everything in the park was a walk on. To me it is totally worth being able to do the entire park in around 5 hours and spend our day sleeping in and relaxing by the pool. We used our FP before park close, watched the fireworks, and then were able to walk on anything else in the park.

It was great when we went (we only paid $75).

In the car we talked that if we could change anything, it would be to make it like a dessert party layout. Have the snacks and drinks in one central location and add some kind of special meet and greet. Plus add a bar (I’d pay the pre-discounted rate to stroll around main street with a drink :drinking1).

I'm wondering if they may have the event similar to the DVC after hours parties recently announced. The description includes a DJ, characters, and "light refreshments".

I'd go for it if it at full price if it at least included a dessert party of a buffet dinner somewhere. I'd pay $75 for it as it is

I'd like to point out that this wasn't an "event"...it was simply disney trying to charge multiple daily admissions for the same day...which in the past based on crowds was just part of the normal operating day.

I will never understand the debate of "merit" on this. It sends a bad longterm message to management by the consumer when they consume it...

Hold the line...they're watching.

I'd pay the AP price again ($75 I think). It was awesome, got on Main Train 5 times in a row, the last time in a car all by myself. Got to meet Anna and Elsa together and we hung out for 10 minutes while no one else was in the Hall. As long as the crowds are that low again, I'll absolutely go.

After Hours Rumors

Did anyone do this earlier this year? And how did you feel about shelling out $149? I've read some reviews and they all seem pretty good.

Was on the fence about going to WDW in 2017 but this might tempt me to go for a couple days if worth it.

I'd bet good money against it. They were giving away tickets and offering half price tickets to get people to do it before it was over.

Not a chance I'd ever pay that much..and like mentioned, they were struggling to sell tickets.

That was a disaster. Some people paying full price, AP's getting half off, some people getting discounts that weren't AP's, believe some people even got free tickets to it. So imagine all the people asking for a refund or a partial refund when they found out they paid $150 per person, then others got the same ticket for half price.

I'm sure they will either lower the price point or add something extra to make the hard ticket worth if like the holiday party tickets are... us FL guests have to pay for all the construction some how :)

I did this last year for a bday gift I would not pay other wise and I lived it

Question is...does it return at the same price point?

I have no doubt it was a great experience for anyone who went to these events. It's just a steep price for virtually the same thing they used to charge 12 bucks for (old "E-Ride Nights - best money I've ever spent at WDW). If they charged $50 back in the day, the $150 price tag wouldn't have been as outrageous.

Yes but it seems like nowadays, people have more disposable income for luxuries, even if it means maxing out one's credit card to partake. If they were to charge $50 for these tickets, the demand would be high. Ideally, you want this event to have fewer people than one of the holiday parties but enough people to make it worth it for Disney. Price point would need to be at least $100 but perhaps less than $149.

I agree. The holiday parties are between $80 -$100 & the park is crowded. I would definitely pay the $150 if the park felt empty. I wouldn't pay extra if the park was just as crowded as it is during regular hours, which I think it would be if the price was less than $100. I would also like them to add something to eat other than ice cream & soda.
