Magic, January 16, 2010--Winter Day Castaways

So what is everyone's favorite Disney movie? and do you have a particular reason it is a favorite?

Tough question, Belle is my favorite "princess", but overall Disney movie is TOUGH to answer. Will have to think further.

Bunless - please add me to the meet list. Will we be doing a FE exchange?

:banana:We are having an FE exchange ... this thread took off so quickly that I ended up as posting 6 on this thread. I'll send out an all call after this posting, but basically if you could PM me with your info...who, how many kids and their ages, what room if you know yet...
I'm keeping a spreadsheet separate from the boards which I will PM each participant closer to the cruise. So far our group is very small:confused3On our last cruise we had so many that we divided into 4 FE groups and still had about 12 rooms each. You can see on posting #6 of this thread who I have already signed up. Come on guys ...:woohoo:EVERYONE is invited :dance3:

I need to get to work, so I will post an all call FE announcement (as promised in prior post) tonight. Think warm...think sunshine...think warm...think sun:cool2:

Hey - Just booked this cruise. This will be our third Disney cruise. This time I will be cruising alone with my two DD's (13 & 11). Are there any other's out there that will be cruising alone with their kids??? It would be great to be able to have another family to enjoy dining with and have some adult conversations with. :rotfl:

:woohoo: DD-13:cheer2: DD-11:happytv:

:welcome::welcome:

I for one can not wait for this cruise!!! I am going a little cuckoo with the YouTube Disney cruise videos. It's a little obsessive........just a little;)

Tumbleweeds - Welcome!

hgon76 - Just read your post about the galley tour. I did it on the 4 night Wonder and really enjoyed it. We plan on doing it again this trip because DH did not sail with us last time. Maybe we should have a galley meet?

pirate:pirate:pirate: WELCOME ABOARD pirate:pirate:pirate:

I am glad to see another DD-11 on board. We have 2 girls, so far we know of a few 9 year olds, but I don't recall anyone else Elizabeth's age. :)

Fish Extender Exchange

:woohoo:I am making this an all call for our growing group of cruisers to join the fun of a FE exchange.:woohoo: Everyone is invited to participate. We can't have too many!:cool1: If by some chance we have lots and lots of participation I will simply split the list into different FE groups. :thumbsup2

Anyone who wants to participate please PM me with your information or post it here on this thread.:goodvibes There is a current FE list on post 6 of this thread. If you have sent me info and you don't see your name please repost it. I do not want to miss anyone.

I will need to know the names of adults in your cabin, names and ages of children, and your cabin assignment when you know it (PM cabin numbers if you do not want it posted on the thread)

I just bought this dress on Sears.com. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_031A1585000P?vName=Clothing&keyword=cotton+womens+sundress
Can you believe what a good deal that was?? So excited. I've been looking for something like this for the cruise for a while. Now I found it AND it was on sale!! I'll let you know if it fits well when it comes. I also found another dress for only $5.99. lol Oh how I love a good deal! Now, I am really excited to go because I actually have something to wear.

WOW - can't beat that deal!!!! And the dress is VERY pretty! I just bought 2 from Macy's...wish I got the same deal! I am hoping they fit when I get them. I don't usually order on-line (for clothes anyway!) but so many of you have done it that I wanted to give it a shot since I foudn exactly what I wanted!!!

There is absolutely no shopping around here, so I have gotten used to shopping online. I live in a little town with about 300 people. The next "big" town is 25 miles away and although it has a Walmart- I don't like walmart clothes in general and there is no mall or anything like that to be found.
I can't tell you how excited I am about that deal. I was expecting to pay at least $60 for the dress I wanted. YAY!!

I was just looking over old navigators that I found on-line.
I need to find the kids activities and see what I think my girls are going to want to do.

Are you doing early or late seating? We are doing late. I'm hoping it works out. My last cruise with my girls(Carnival cruise) we did early seating and I hated it. The evening was way too long and there was not time in the afternoon. Of course we might have that same problem is all the shows are before dinner.

We're doing late seating. I hope that I don't hate it. We usually eat at around 6:30-7:00. I figured that the early seating would have more kids and the later one would have more adults. I don't know if that's true- and I like kids anyway. So, I guess I'll be happy either way. lol.

What a perfect cruise dress and a great deal to boot! :woohoo: I'm so jealous, I never find deals like that.

We have second seating, too. I love it because there is plenty of time to relax after getting back on the ship. We go to see the first show then get ready for dinner. Plus by 8:30 we are plenty hungary. :goodvibes

I have a little secret to disclose. I am an ex-DCL castmember. ;) I use to work at the port untill March this year. This will be my first cruise not as a castmember. :sad1: It is going to feel so weird.

Hello All,

I booked this cruise the end of last month but haven't had a chance to jump in on the thread till now. My sailing party will be me (Bill) and two sisters (Maggie & Marilyn).

I wonder how full this cruise is??? I am not sure that I 100% love our room location (Cat 9 room 2128) so I go on every day to check #'s and the same ones seem to pop up... Just wanted to mention that not all available cabins show up in the list of cabin choices in the DCL online booking process. You may want to call DCL (or your travel agent if that's how you booked) and see if other choices are available.

Also wanted to mention that there is a military discount available for this cruise, so if there are any military members sailing in your group you may want to contact DCL or your travel agent and try to take advantage of that perk.

Looking forward to sailing with all of you!

So any secrets you know being a former DCL cast memeber?

We're doing the late seating also. As west-coasters who eat late anyway, we figured it would be the best time for us. Plus, as you said, fewer kids.

One of my best friends was a solo performer on the Wonder for a couple of contracts, I get all the dirt and more.

Want to know how much I love all of you guys. I bookmarked this page so that I can allways readily access this page.

So anyone have any good plans for this weekend? I am babysitting today and have staff duty on sunday so I am working. When I am not doing that then I will be sewing :).

So anyone have any good plans for this weekend?

Tomorrow, got the bi-weekly gyrotonic workout (DH does it with me once a week), and then got a big family wedding. Well, maybe not big--I don't know how big it will be. It's a second wedding for some fifty-somethings, so who knows. Sunday, I'll go to the ballet!
