"Magic in the Mediterranean" Facebook page (and a chance to win a podcast cruise!)

I'd love to go on this cruise! I have two problems. Small budget & a wife who dislikes cruising...:sad2:

As you can see below, we're booked on the Dream for 2011. DW is not real excited. :sad1:

Love all the updates!

Wish we were there as well.

Unfortunately, and as usual, we are not eligible for the cruise giveaway with us being from Canada......c'est la vie. :sad2:

Not being eligible to win a podcast cruise totally sucks! :sad2::sad2:

Its a legal thing in general, because it is considered a contest. And Canada has some interesting laws regarding such things. Look up the terms on some other contest where Canadians are permitted, and you'll see that they are required to answer a mathematical test. It has something to do with the laws not permitting "games of chance" (which would be gambling, even though no money is at stake), but if you are randomly selected, and can answer the question, then it is a "game of skill"...funny Canadians... ;)

that is funny!

thanks for posting the link for me! so i guess i can forget about entering..
i should enter my sister....she lives in the US....
but she's not a big disney fan (i got all of the disney psycho genes :) )

I was a little disappointed when I saw you had to be in the US. Winning a cruise would be the only way I'd be able to go. Maybe I'll have to be there in flattie form :P

Would the DIS be in compliance with Canadian law if they required Canadian winners to answer trivia questions about Disney?

I'm in the same boat....no chance for the cruise here either :(

I've seen contests that are for both American and Canadians so it can be done but perhaps there's a fee involved to our government....they are sneaking like that. Usually the "skill testing question" is something simple like 5x4/10=?. My fear is that I'd panick and not know my own name let alone simple math if I won! :rotfl2:

they'll make it a complete the sentence quiz. it will be tough though - you have to get all 3 right:

Complete the following:

1. Walt _________

2. Walt ________ World

3. ______ Cruise Lines

I can't believe how much fun I am having watching the posts on the Med cruise. I will be there in three weeks!

This trip has brought a whole new perspective to me on how to tour Europe....Basically, when our family wants to travel to Italy or Europe....We shoud cruise the Mediterranean. It seems a lot better than flying over and then touring via car or public transportation.

I've always preferred crusing versus a land vacation, as a cruise allows "sampling" of various locations. With either the TransAtlantic, MED or Baltic cruises ... you can still sample the various countries ... then stay an extra few days afterwards to explore anywhere you'd like.
