Now, about that cruise giveaway.... :rolleyes1

Welcome back!

I loved reading all your updates while eating my oatmeal every day!

Just listened to your review on the Podcast. It matched my experience on the ship as well except for one thing. I was one of those people who did the most expensive excursions ($289 per person for Rome) I spent $400 more on excursions than I did on the cruise its self. Those excursions were not worth the price either. If there seems like there is a lot of things listed that you will see/do then just plan on not doing all of that. People were able to do Rome and see just as much on their own for a fraction of the costs. It just required them to so some homework and plan ahead before going. Only one of 6 tours did all the things they said they were going to see. The excursions desk was less than helpful and a manager admitted that no one from the company actually had done those excursions before they advertised them, and put the Disney name on them. They were apologetic but were not compensating in any way. After filling out 4 complaint forms for 4 different excursions, I did not have any follow up by a member of the management team. The excursions desk pitiful customer service was even made more glowing bad especially when the service level was so much significantly better by the other staff/departments of the cruise.

On previous cruises I felt completely safe in letting my legally deaf father go on an excursion without me and he would be fine. I would not trust Disney excursions with him at all now. My next cruises on Disney I will NOT use the excursions and have a much better time and save a significant amount of money.

You were right as well. The food quality was horrible. Service A+ but old dairy cow meat is more tender than the stuff they were trying to pass off as steak on the ship.

Thanks for another great podcast and all the postings from the trip. It's like I got to have my own camera crew along with me.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I just listened to the last 4 podcasts (had a long drive and it helped me stay awake). It was only last week that we booked the Med cruise for June 2011. I'm a bit apprehensive now after listening to the podcast. It took a lot of convincing my family to do Disney instead of the other cruise lines. I hope they iron things out by next year. :confused3
