I wanted to do the parasailing but it is $79 for less than 10 mins. :scared1: I am pretty cheap and that sounded like a lot of money for so little time? We need to spend our money wisely like on DOTD.:lmao:

It is thundering and lightning here with tornados reported in the area. :scared1: I think the only fireworks I want to see is on the Magic

Great timing Dan!:rotfl: I love that pic, it doesn't even look real.

:thumbsup2 Yay!!! And Good to know! So if I have to use the zip ties for all my gifts...I'm sending them to your cabin to get it cut off...lol!!!

I hate I'm gonna have to do that (and I'm sure cm's will give me an 'eye'?), but I don't see any other way.

But hey~ WE are SO excited!!!

No problem. I guess we could keep the scissors in one of our pockets to where you couldn't see it? We will have an erase board and whoever borrows them could just write their stateroom # on there so we will know where they are at until they come back.:confused3

WE are EXCITED TOO!:yay:

OMG, we were 1 post away from page 2 again.:scared1::rotfl2: Bouncing it back up to page 1. I will be away the rest of the evening so it is up to you guys to keep it going.:lmao:

That makes 2 of us:lmao: I have AVON training tonight, so y'all need to make conversation while we're gone. I might be on later, i may not. We shall see:confused3

Got my 2011 Passporters last week...I've been thumbing through it. :thumbsup2 It's all in getting ready for the cruise. Woot Woot.

So........ I have some very astounding news!

I was on FB the other day when I was editing my profile. :rolleyes1 (Don't y'all be shaking your heads because there is actually a point to this story!)

So anyway, I was editing my profile when I noticed I joined a bunch of groups since I joined in the fall of 2008. My plan was to delete them but........

The first group I clicked on was "Kiss Me I'm Norwegian". :rolleyes1 (I was fresh out of high school, what'dya expect?! :lmao: ) I scrolled thru the very top posts to see if there was anything interesting when one woman's post caught my eye. She had posted something about her family heritage and what the last name of one of her ancestors. It just so happened to be the same last name of one of my ancestors. I decided to comment on her post and ask her if there was even the slightest chance we could possible be related. Figured it'd be a long shot that she would even respond back and an even longer shot that we would be related.

Not only did my comment receive my response but it turns out we were related!!! :yay: The lady happened to be a cousin of my maternal grandmother. It is a small, small world!

I also got a message the next day which happened to come from the daughter of another one of my grandma's cousins! She said she had seen my post, told her mom about it, and they looked me up! I was told by both women that if I needed any information about my family tree, they'd be most happy to supply!!

And all of this happened because I joined a silly little group almost 3 years ago. :rotfl2: Who would have thunk?

I was thinking of getting one but I got the impression that it would only have a wee bit of information about the cruise. Did that turn out to be so? I don't want to miss out on any cool tips this time around. :thumbsup2

Oh, and I am super bummed I wasn't eligible to receive some onboard credit for the cruise by booking the trip on my Disney Visa. Turns out the deposit was placed on a separate card before I got the Visa. I at least have 25 credits from a promotion when booking.

How soon before the vacation should I redeem my points to use onboard. I read somewhere that I'd have to redeem them so far in advance. From using my Visa card I mean.

That is so neat! That is the redeeming quality in FB. You do get connected to people you never thought you would be connected to. A few years ago, I found my childhood friend on FB. We were really close friends when we lived overseas and my family moved away. Now we are caught up and have seen each other a few times, even though I had to get on a plane and fly across the ocean to do it.

The big updates were on the new ships. My version of the book was from 2008 so I wanted an updated version. Funny thing is the inside back cover still had 2008 and 2009 calendar instead of 2011 and 2012. I'm thinking it's an oversight. You aren't missing a lot of information if you have an older version.

That is really neat that you keep in touch with that friend from overseas! Were you born over there? Or perhaps I should ask where about had you lived?

Good morning fellow cruisers.

I have been "found" by relatives as well, and have also found some others! The funniest was when I originally joined I searched for my DD and TWO Heather's with the same last name popped up! Since I have yet to meet a Konitshek we are not related to I friend requested her with a message. Sure enough...husband's uncle that moved to Florida had twins, and those twins since moved around, married had kids got "lost" and then "found" on FB!

I was also found on Geni.com by a relative who lives in Chile. If anyone is interested in working on Family Trees, that website is amazing.

I have the 2010 Disney Cruise Passporter and it is awesome. It is filled with tons of stuff I didn't know before I read it. It also has lots of the stuff you find here but there was so much more. I think they keep it updated with the itineraries of the next year they come out but it has all the basic ones. I have the WDW one too and just get the updates to it. I have quite a few guidebooks related to Disney.:lmao: I am sure no one else does that.:rotfl2:
