Greetings fellow Cruisers!!!

I think we've decided to spend 1 day at EPCOT taking in the Flower & Garden festival. Has anyone been to the festival yet this year?

We were there a couple of weeks ago. We stayed at Kadani Village at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. The flowers were beautiful and I would think even better now. We had one day that was really nice and another day that was cold, not as cold as in Tennessee right now. I thought the crowds were moderate.

I think we will have the magic to ourselves on the western cruise:confused3

Judith, that's the cruise we were originally on and had to move to this one because of date change with DS' school calendar. Sounds like a lovely cruise though....not as busy. Might be nice tp have run of the ship.

We just checked out the dates, but they're not going to work out for us to go this year. :sad2:

DH & I went after our cruise last October & LOVED it! The tickets are pricey, but we thought the unique atmosphere, parade, & fireworks were well worth it. :stir:

And I forgot all about Food & Wine! Loved that...will have to do that too. Tickets are pricey. DS loves it so much. I'm saving a little extra so we can do it this year.

Hi there again! It seems since I've been up since 2:30 a.m. I'd catch up on my number of postings.:lmao:

If any of you are thinking of renting cars, I have doing some research on it. and found a few good discount codes for Budget. The best deal I have found so far is from CostCo. Use code W852856 for 30% off rentals. The other code that has been helpful is S232000. Thanks to another site that lists discount. I would give the exact site credit but I can't remember which one I got it from now since it's been a while and I have looked at so many sites.

And we got our stateroom number. So  for me!
Have a great Friday!

Greetings fellow Cruisers!!!

Sorry for the delayed resoponse on my last 2 posts - as i've said before, i don't get on here very often. I always enjoy reading everyone's posts & getting caught up on the happenings of our cruise!

DH & I are finally on Spring Break & heading to Florida tomorrow!

We're also going to "the other theme park in town." DH told me i was not allowed to mention the name.
I've never been and somehow I think I'm going to be dissapointed since i'm sure it'll in no way compare to the fabulousness of WDW. But we'll see.

Anywho, looking forward to seeing the next countdown on saturday! It's getting closer!:yay:

Flower and Garden is beautiful as always ! And we actually just spent a weekend at "the other park" in the middle of March. We absolutley though HP is the best ride ever!! And love the Mardi Gras party. If you want to see pictures of either I have a bunch posted on Facebook - I thinki I'm the only Lisa on the Facebook group page for this trip.

I got my cruises mixed up! We will be celebrating my daughters 21st birthday in July on our family Dream cruise...

This cruise will be with my sister and parents :lmao: So my daughter won't be with us. She will be in the middle of her Sr season playing soccer for Penn State! Don't think she wants to miss that!

As a PSU alum I have to give a shout out to your DD. "WE ARE"

We got our car rental through Budget also and used a code and our price with tax was $35.36. Great deal. I can look up the code if someone wants it. It was for an economy car. That was from Port to MCO.

What a great rate!! Yes, please share the code. I'm going to re-quote and try to get the best pricing! This trip is starting to add up.

Hi gang, I'm checking in! Lots going on around here.

We don't have good luck, I swear. And I must warn you all, our vacationing luck is even worse. You see, almost every big vacation we've ever been on has had major weather/earth issues. Two hurricanes, one flood, one earthquake, one tornado to our list. Here's to hoping we hit no hurricanes or storms that week. I don't want to be diverted from CC!

Went wedding dress hunting the other day and finaly found bridesmaid dresses. We made sure to ask if it came in plus sizes because two of my three girls are larger. Sure enough, they did and we thought we were good to go....until it started bothering me that I never asked if it came in regular sizes. I just assumed they did. So I called. Sure enough, plus sized only. So it's all the "Skinny Witches" fault that now we have to start all over again :)

Still haven't found one for me, though I've narrowed it down to about 4 I "like", but nothing as hit me as "This is the one" yet. I'm still looking. We go get our rings on Saturday and knock that off our to-do list.

We're getting ready to pay off all the balances for the rooms and have booked some additional things for Palo for the reception afterwards.

Don't forget...10:30 at Castaway Cay..bring your own Konk Koolers! We'd love to meet you all!

Hope everything is going well for you all and I need to catch up on these posts!

Welcome back Beth

I was wondering if you'd gotten your dress yet. Still got time to find that perfect dress, as long as you're not going to Kleinfeld's in NYC:rotfl:

Funny you mention the weather. DH and I were talking about the cruise with my parents last weekend and were looking for wood to knock on so we make CC for the wedding:rotfl2:

Since you brought it up, what happens if we can't dock there? Where is the back up site? And is it still crashable:lmao:

And I hear ya on the dresses for the Brides maids:sad2: Seems like there's a rule among designers that Bigger women cannot have the same dresses as the smaller women. May i suggest y'all stay away from the color brown though. You don't want the bug ladies looking like UPS trucks, or the smaller ones looking like moving boxes:rolleyes1

I vote for the cut off to be 75 days out. I think that will give everyone time to get their gifts together. I know on the last cruise we went on, someone added at the last minute & DH & I had to scourer our apartment for something to give them since we had already made our gift bags.

Thanks again Maureen for doing the FE! You are awesome! :hippie:

:lmao: I think I know some people out there who might disagree with the awesome remark, but thanks:rotfl:

BTW I need cabin info for you. If you have it that is.

I've seen reports that said they went to Nassau when they knew ahead of time they would not be able to dock at CC but I think a lot of times it just becomes a sea day.

Only once did we not make it on the scheduled day - luckily it was a 4 night so just stayed in Nassau later and switched our CC with the sea day and all worked out.

In 10 cruises we've been able to dock there 11 times (one was a double dip).

It's weird that our next two cruises (LA to Van repo, and first Alaska) don't include CC.

We got ours too!:thumbsup2 But we got a minivan for $65 from mco to port, and then 60 from port to mco. Think this one is a good rate?:confused3

It will be beautiful having a wedding on CC. We've never seen one there but we have seen a renewal on deck 7 and it was gorgeous.

We are on the 6/23/12 Western if you want to lurk. I am glad we booked that one on day 1 last October. We booked for $5,200 for 2A2C and now it would cost $7,500. :scared1: Crash has disappeared for the last few weeks as he is all excited about his Alaskan cruise. I did get MMOUSE37 off my bucket list back on our cruise on 10/08. I want to get INKKOGNITO off my bucket list. You would think since she has been on like 85 cruises I could have come across her once.

OK, so I lurked last night for a few minutes::rotfl2:

NO WONDER Y'all are on page 114 for the other thread:idea: You have the EBPC crew from 2008. If they saw this thread they'd think it was dead:lmao: They hit what:confused: something like 13 threads before that 1 even set sail:rotfl2: I didn't follow them a whole lot back then, but every now and again I'd check in over there.

I do like the way your captain runs the thread though: I saw this quote last night: Anybody keeping a list of cruisers.....sounds like you just volunteered :rotfl:

Wow! Congratulations on your cruise wedding! It's a shame your not in our tri state area...lot's of bridal places, discount bridal places and sizes that fit everyone...but I'm sure you'll find your 'magic' dress (sorry couldn't resist it) and all your bridesmaids will look fab!

We probably won't 'crash' your wedding, but we'll enjoy seeing your festive party on CC! And I guess we'll just have to pray that bad weather away huh? Can't wait to see you and your wedding party!:goodvibes

Well it has been a good week for my Disney Reservations. First I got one of only two remaining Club level DVC studios at AKL starting 2/29/12 for a week then tonight at our 180 day mark of our WDW pre cruise trip, got Cinderellas Royal Table for a 5:20 dinner on none other than the actual 40th anniversary of WDW, Oct. 1. Also got all the other reservations I wanted at the times I wanted inciuding my favorite place to eat at WDW: 'Ohana. Well off to sleep. Got to be at work in 8 hours.
