I guess it's time to say hello to everyone! I will by joining you all on this cruise in October and just can't wait! It will be myself, my DSis27, and our parents! This will be my 8th cruise, my parents third and my sisters first!!! I'm SO excited to share this experience with my sister! But it will be my first cruise without my DH. However, he will be joining me at WDW for 5 days after the cruise!

Noticed you are a DVC member. We just got back from Animal Kingdom Kidani. We are not members but always stay at one of the DVCs by renting points.
The weather was great while we were there.

Hello DVCTigger and KLMchemist!

What fun we're all going to have! This is our first ever Disney cruise and this thread has been so helpful and exciting as we've watched the days countdown! Welcome aboard!

So Jealous that you were just there, we love Kidani! Actually, that's where we will be staying post-cruise. This is something else that I am so excited to get to share with my parents and sister, we will have two studios there. :cool1:

And thanks to everyone for the wonderful or should I say "Magic"al welcome!!

Evening cruisers

:welcome: DVCTigger and KLMchemist :welcome:

So glad to have you join us. I am popping in between getting things done for a trip to my parents tomorrow. 4 days of R&R ahead for me and DH. :cool1:

Anyway, feel free to take a look around and pop in wherever. Lots of info in the first post so definitely have a look see there.

Are you a chemist? Me too. My daughter will graduate in May with a Chemistry degree also. She may be on the cruise, depending on what she is doing this Fall.

>

Thank you all so much for all the welcome wishes! I am in fact an organic chemist by school trade, I spent 2 1/2 years in QA / QC at a pharmaceutical company, then a 1 1/2 years in an environmental lab and now I run our lab. We chemists are certainly a unique breed, just ask my sister, haha! 196 days by my count to go, Woo Hoo!

Anyone know the dining rotation and times for dinner and breakfast?

Main dining is at 5:45pm and late dining is at 8:15pm. As for rotations you may start in any of the three dining rooms. DCL must have some kind of formula since the last 3 cruises I have gotten APLLAPL and before that I had LAPLLAP. As for breakfast times it will vary based on whether it is a sea day (later) or a port day (earlier). Topsiders is usually is open by 7 or 7:30am. You should check your navigator each night for when Topsiders/Lumieres. Goofy's Galley is usually open a little earlier and you and pick up some fruits and smoothies.

DW highly recommends the mango smoothie. My job was to wake up early and grab one for her and fruit for the kids. I was bad and went for the cinnamon rolls. Yum :thumbsup2

YUMMY!::yes:: I will definitely have to get a smoothie. I have another question on breakfast though. Can you eat at any of the restaurants for breakfast such as Lumiere or do you have to eat at where you were supposed to be for dinner the night before? I know it works that way with the character one but was hoping I could eat at any of them if I wanted to. I like to have waffles or french toast and omelets. :confused3

For breakfast you have the following choices:

1. Topsiders servers a buffet style breakfast.
2. Parrot Cay will sometimes serve a buffet breakfast (excluding character breakfast days).
3. Lumiere's serves a sit down breakfast where you will be served by a dining room host as you would dinner.

You can check the most recent navigators for the serving times on the FAQ thread.

As waffles and french toast you can get them at any of the choices. You can even get waffles with Mickey ears.
