 Hi Everyone! Been out of pocket driving the earth (well, at least it feels like it) this past weekend. Wanted to say Hi and :welcome: to Katiefloy2003, Tinkerbell0614, and Tiggerlover2!!! :goodvibes

We're first timers and pumped and can't wait until Oct!!!:banana::banana:

Awesome:thumbsup2 That's pretty much what we want to do. We aren't interested in swimming so we don't need a beach break or anything like that. the price sounds pretty good too. Last time we just walked around the Phillipsburg area. That was nice but we want to see more this time around.

We had a wonderful time last time and can't wait to go again. It's not really a shopping excursion, more of a sightseeing excursion. They stop in town for a very brief time, which my husband insists that we have to use this time to have a fresh pastry, not shop. lol!:confused3
I was so excited to visit Orient Beach. We had to take the customary picture with the "Clothing Optional" sign and stroll down the nude beach, in our swimsuits mind you, so we could say that we had "been there, done that." :scared1:
I LOVE Maho Beach. It is soooooooooo cool to stand on the bank of the wall and have a plane fly so close over your head. It is awesome. :woohoo:
You can check out Bernard on his website. He was very quick to respond.

Have a wonderful day! :)

Scared??? MOI:rolleyes1

Hell no, nothing much scares me with the notable exception of the Partridge family Bus:lmao::rotfl2:

However, we booked this cruise with the intention of finishing the itinerary we started on the last cruise. Call me petty but would actually like to step off of the ship in St. Thomas this time around:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

And since I'm spotting the other pattern of alphabet letters here please let P be your last stop in hurricane dept. :thumbsup2

I agree with Partridge family bus. :lmao: Scary :scared1::scared1:

You need to live life on the edge. Hurricane Quincy is coming for you. :lmao: Don't worry, be happy. St Thomas will not be missed this year. They are waitng just for you to leave some $$$ behind. :happytv:

We will have smooth sailing with rainbows

Thanks for the :welcome:! You will LOVE cruising. I will admit that I am addicted. lol! Can't wait to sail the seas again soon. Hurry October! :cheer2:

So I checked the intineray on the DCL site and it does not have us tendering at St. Thomas unlike my email confermation that says we do tender. Hmmmm. As far as Benards tours, I have said here many times, after my wife's experance on her DCL tour in Cabo, there is no way I will ever do a non DCL tour. I don't care how cheep, how good the reviews are, anything. If I can't book it through DCL I ain't going.

Thanks. :) We did Bernard's Tour before and had a blast. We toured the French & Dutch side of the island, Orient Beach, & saw the planes fly over Maho beach. On this cruise, they provided a cooler full of rum punch, bottled water, caribbean beer & sodas, all for $40pp. :thumbsup2 We booked online and pay when we get there. As for time, he said to just meet him when the ship was cleared for disembarkation. It is a quick walk straight ahead.

Is this excursion through disney? If not, how do you book it? This sounds like exactly what my husband and I would enjoy.

Sorry for the newbie question, but what does this mean?

There are two areas in St Thomas for cruise ships to dock. The Magic will usually dock in Havensight (see below). Havensight can dock 3 ships and the other sight on the other side of the bay CB can dock another ship. (see below on the left in the distance you can see the Eurodam docked). According the schedule there are a total of 4 ships including the Magic are scheduled to dock in St Thomas on the day we are supposed to be there. If there are more ships (during the high winter season, the excess ships will anchor in the harbour and tender cruisers directly into Charlotte Amalie (in the middle right of the picture). What Alan is seeing says we are tendering in one spot and docking in another. We'll see.

Paula:confused:

Dude you better not go 3 for 3 and bring another hurricane on the cruise:lmao:

Omar with me, and Paula with Tinkerbell.....you're track record is not looking good:rolleyes1

Awe poop! Shooo, Tigger, Shooo! :rotfl:

Don't turn me into a Bridezilla...if you have a track record and hurricanes follow you, I'm throwing you overboard to appease Zeus!

No hurricanes on this cruise! Not allowed! Bridezilla Beth will not be a pretty sight!

Same goes for me! I feel like I have been so out of it. I did work some on FE gifts this weekend and only have a few left. I still need to work on the magnets for our door. I have the pics downloaded but not printed out yet. I have a laminator at home so it won't take long to have them done.
I am so ready for the next 16 weeks to go flying by. It is the first day of summer and it was 39 degrees on my way to work this am. Any time it rains it really cools down. It is around 62 now though. Hope it doesn't make me:sick:

Okay, I have been on a total of 7 cruises so far. All during Hurricane season and I have never had a problem. So Hopefully, my good luck prevails and overrides the jinxes! LOL. Thinking positive thoughts!

I would think you would want me around. I have been through 3 hurricanes and the worst that has happened is St Thomas was missed (Sorry Octoberbride03). We ended up having a bright sunny day in Nassau and CC instead. One lucky couple got married on CC by the captain right before Noel hit. It was a nice day and very nice ceremony that day. Also I would sacrifice me to Poseidon (god of the sea) and not Zeus. :lmao:

LOL Tigger/Pooh4! I've been to St. Thomas, so I'm like been there, done that. I personally don't care where the ship goes as long as I'm on it! For me it's all about the trip, and not necessarily the destination when I'm on the Magic! Love the photos you post by the way.

We booked thru their website...

www.bernardstours.com

It was $40 pp and we have used them in the past also. We are in port from 8 am - 6pm so I am not worried about the time as this is how they make their living. We had an awesome time and can't wait to go back! Check them out! ;):thumbsup2:)

Wow! We hit 101 today and it was so HOT!!!!:scared1: Can't wait to take a dip in the beautiful caribbean water.

I could not agree with you more. The ship is way more of a destination than where we go for my family. My kids don't even want to get off the ship except for CC. As long as we are on the Magic we don't really care, preferrable longer the better. We are jealous of TartanTinker doing a double dip on the Magic. :thumbsup2 14 days on the Magic. :cloud9: Glad you like the pics. It helps makes time go by faster for us until the next cruise.

Yeah, i think that's plenty of time for the tour too. Was looking at it last night, I've looked before but the last time was way too early to book anything yet:lmao:

I like this one because all you have to do is walk straight up to the statue and he's waiting. Last time we were in a pretty new a/c bus that took us all over both the French & Dutch side of the island. My favorite part was seeing the planes. Have you checked them out on youtube? If you get a chance google Maho Beach and watch the videos, they are awesome!
We are doing the same tour again in November when we return to St. Martin on the Carnival Dream. I LOVE the caribbean. :lovestruc

Awe, Tigger, I'll keep you high and dry if you're good luck then.

We've had the most terrible back luck with our vacations. They either lose our luggage, or we've been through 2 hurricanes, 1 flood and 1 tornado so far.

I dont care where we go as long as we either hit CC and have nice weather, or they make other arrangements for us and we still have nice weather.

My parents were married during a hurricane too in Bermuda, so I guess it could end up being a famiy legacy and something to tell the grandchildren, huh?

Tink happy tawts!
