Magic in a Winter Wonder World with 1,648 pictures

Hi Barbara!! I'm back and starting to catch up on everyone's reports. I also started my road trip report- come read about the worst trip EVER across the Central Asian steppe.

Page 15 or so??

Hmmm.... if I had to choose one of your titles, I'd say go with "So Much to Celebrate, So Little Time". I like that one :)

Hey everybody,
Sorry I've been MIA! I've had about 5 minutes a day to DIS. I've been really busy with work. I had to close grades for 2,000 kids and pack up my room as if I won't be back next year. I will have the same room so why do we all have to pack up and take off all the decorations? I don't know! Mitch was on a business trip for a few days. On Tuesday it was his birthday so we were busy celebrating. School ended for the girls and I on Wednesday. Emily woke up today with a swollen throat and can hardly speak. The girls and I are going to NY in 10 days for a few weeks. We just finished having Disney night! Lots of fun! I had actually planned this 2 weeks ago and then found out last night, tonight was TS night on Disney Channel! We had Bo Peep's lamb chops, Ham's pigs in a blanket, Green army men greens, and Rex's chicken nuggets. We had TS decorations and games. Oh, and a cake! The cake was cute but it was a failure at the same time! (Cake decorating is not for me!!) :scared1:
We all fell in love with TS 1 and 2! The girls were cracking up. I started tearing up in the second movie when Jessie does her flash back on Emily. It was even harder with a DD named Emily.
Oh and about the Disney trip. I was sold on Labor day week until..........

Summer Nightastic started. I went on Youtube and watched MSEP and the fireworks. Oh my god, it was amazing!!! Especially the POTC in the fireworks! Yozers! After that I had to run numbers for the last week of summer. August 16th-21st! All the mods were filled and values all they have is All Star Sports. There is availability at all the resorts just not with free dining. The All Stars scare me! Those rooms look really, really small! I think we would have to get two. Then to seal the deal, Mitch comes out of his office all excited and said "It's back!" I asked him "What's back?" "MSEP! I LOVED that parade!" We have to go this summer to see it!:scared1:
I never knew it meant that much to him! So, that's where we stand with the trip. If we got in August we'll get 7 day PHs and when there are 3 days left upgrade to the weekday pass and then go for Thanksgiving!
Also, if anyone has a Disney visa I have ?s for you.:goodvibes

Still trying to get caught up! My job has been keeping me busy too.

Congrats on the Sept trip! :yay: When you get a chance do you mind posting some of the youtube links you've been watcing? I've searched youtube before but I can never find any good videos of Wishes or Spectro:confused: TIA!

Have fun!
You'll love TS3, it's good
Thanks, Sara!
We LOVED, LOVED, LOVED TS3!!! It was so well done. The girls have been saying quotes from that movie non-stop.

Hey Liesa,
I read part of it late the other night when I had a 7 AM plane to catch. I'll go read the rest later on, we're heading out now.:goodvibes

Staying caught up on my suscriptions is always so hard and then I feel bad for not posting on people's reports for a while. (including yours)
Thank you!
I'll post the links later, we're heading out once the girls are finally ready to go.
I love watching Disney attractions and such on Youtube I also have music from the parks. Wishes, PP's flight, Soarin', the stretching room, IASW, and Splash. I could email you the music. Same goes for anyone else, just PM me your email adress!

The girls are getting along so well in NJ! They're playing along so well and everything. The past 2 hours they have been working on a dance to "Love Story" by Taylor Swift. They are having their "recital" tonight! I'll record it and post the video when we come home.
Tonight we're making our Toy Story cupcakes! We're doing the green aliens, Buzz, and Mr. Potato Head!
Have a great night!

I can't wait to see the girls' 'dance routine'!
And yay for TS3 cupcakes- I'm excited to hear how yours turn out

Where I last left off we were in T-rex having Thanksgiving day lunch.
I forgot to mention this, even though our SPs expired the day before the CMs still gave is the 10% discount at WOD and T-rex.
I found the pic of what Mitch ordered.

There was just so much food! We didn't even come close to finishing it. Since this was Emily's birthday meal we planned on sending her away to tell the waiter it was her birthday! Well, that wasn't nessesary when we were finished our waiter and a couple of others started coming out with a dessert and a candle. I was wondering who they were going to since there was no one else behind us. Long and behold they stopped at our table and started singing to Emily! I was really impressed that the waiter noticed her birthday button and we didn't even have to say a word.
Here she is with her treat!
DSC02048.jpg

After we finished eating we paid and left.
Oh wait!! Not so fast. First we stopped for this family picture! Really rare for us. I want to get a ton of family pictures next trip.
DSC02063.jpg

I know I do not match but my other jeans were soaked from the day before and it was too cold for shorts.
I've never been in here! Same with Goofy's. I'll try Goofy's next trip and this the trip after.

We paid a visit in here.

MeMom gave me the great idea of getting Potato head parts for my classroom and changing his/her outfit every week. I think my students would like that. I also want to hang up our pictures from the drawing class at DHS in my art room.

I thought the touch screen potato heads were too cool! We each designed a few. Here is somebody's. Not quite sure who that somebody is.
DSC02077.jpg

Star Wars never stood a chance in our family. With two girls I don't know any of the characters.
DSC02078.jpg

DH has this Dinosaur and quite a few of his relatives. He gets a new one every trip.

Emily did a self portrait with Donald because I was taking "too slow" to take her picture since I was calling our friends to say we were leaving soon since we were having dinner at their house. Yup, that's right, leaving in a few minutes.:guilty:

Amy got a TSM pin and Emily got a mickey snowman pin and an Epcot pin. (Emily got an extra one because she didn't get anything in Once AOT and Amy did!)
It was now 3:15! We had to leave now because we had a 3 hour drive home and our neighbors invited us to have dinner at their house. We were glad because they cook really good food and otherwise we would of had to come home at 7ish with no thanksgiving dinner!
We stopped by the hotel to pick up the bags and go to the bathroom one more time before hitting the road.
Leaving property.
DSC02121.jpg

For a while we played a game where somebody hummed a Disney tune and you have to figure out what it is. Then the girls got really loud and hyper. They even sung "I know a song that gets on everybody's nerves, everybody's nerves, everybody's nerves, and this is how it goes..." Over and over again! Ugh! Who teaches them these songs?!?!
Then it got very quiet I turned around and they were both sleeping! Yes!! :dance3:
When we were approaching our exit my friend called and asked of we could pick up milk we passed a CVS and thank goodness it was open! I ran in, got the milk and then we were home by a quarted to 7. We brought in the bags and I came on the DIS to say we made it home and then walked across the street to our friends' house for dinner! It was so good! After dinner we watched some thanksgiving football and talked on the couch! Guess who fell asleep on our neighbors' couch!
Amy! Yikes, I ware them our on our Disney trips. Maybe it was all that 4 parkin'?!:rolleyes1
DH brought the girls home and I stayed. It was nice to come home from a Disney trip and see some friends. This way there was no disney depression! Not a single tear. On other trips I come home and cry because it's over.
Thanks for reading along on another one of our fun disney adventures. I'll be starting a PTR for August soon but first I have one more post for here.
Coming up: Summary, final thoughts, and souvies!

Only one more post--- AND a PTR? I'll be on the look out for it!

Shopping your way out of Disney is not a bad way to leave,
and hooking up with friends for dinner is a great way to help stifle the goodbye Disney tears. :)

I think it is cute that the DH gets a new dinosaur on every trip.
Someday, you'll probably have some grandsons that will love to play with them with him! :dance3:

Thanks for sharing your trip with us!

That was so sweet of your friends to have you over for dinner! :goodvibes I bet it really did help with the "re-entry" process.

It was a great day!
I hope the girls give me a lot of grandchildren. Emily will be a great Mommy! She is such a natural. Amy... well you should see the way she holds a baby!:rotfl: She's still young, though.
No problem! I enjoyed re-living it.

It was! We get together about twice a month for dinner. Once at our house and once at theirs.
It did!

Back from the beach and all caught up!!! Those limited edition Christmas PINS have my name all over them!!! Can't wait to get one! Sounds like your girls had a LONG but fun trip :goodvibes

The last day at Disney is always so sad for me. Sounds like having dinner with friends after leaving was a good solution to post-Disney blues.

Can't wait to hear your final thoughts on this trip and then hear all about your new PTR! :)

I just read your beach update! Sounds like a great trip. We LOVE going to the beach.
Do you collect and trade pins?!? I don't, yet! I think I'm going to start getting on or two a trip.
I think the Mickey snowman pin Emily got was a limited edition one. They started selling most of the Christmas pins on Thanksgiving.
We had another great trip minus a few things.:goodvibes

It's sad for me, too. For me, the last night is always is always so much worse then the day we leave! Not sure why.
It was a great solution. I think we're going to see people when we come back from every trip for now on.
I'm starting the final thoughts now!:goodvibes

O.k, here is my final thoughts. I'll do a brief summary of each day with some of my favorite pictures from each day. I'll rate the crowds 1-5. One being the least crowded and 5 being the worse! I'll do the same for every place we ate and the day in general.
Here it goes:
Saturday, November 21st: We checked in and went to the room only to find bed bugs in one of the beds!! We switched the rooms and were given free vouchers for the breakfast downstairs. We went to MK and had such a magical first night. Emily was given a lot of FPs from the CMs to use right now bc of her birthday buttom. Amy and Mitch got to ride Space Mountain before the real opening. Also, I saw the castle lighting.
Crowds: Three
Dinner: Cosmic Reys- Two because it gave Emily a stomach bug!
Day in general: Five!

Day two: The plans were thrown out the garbage! The plan was to go to AK and then DHS for Fantasmic and the lights. Well, we found out just 48 hours before the trip that our friends were going to be at Disney that day and asked to meet us at MK! So, even though my gut was telling me to go with the plan we went to MK because the rest of the gang wanted to.
We met the princesses, and got lost from our friends many times. I felt like we didn't get much done compared to what we normally do. It was still a great day. We met Push and did things we normally don't do, so that was nice. Around 4, Emily got the stomach bug from the night before.
Crowds: 4! Space Mountain re-opened this day so the crowds were a little high.
Lunch: Casey's- Five! I LOVE that place
Dinner: DH brought me food from the hotel restaurant- two. How can you ruin a salad?!?
Day in general: Two and a half! It was just too much of "I want to do this" "I want to do that" "You can't pay me enough to do this!" We did too much wondering and not enough doing. Meeting friends is nice but not in a themepark!

DSC00754.jpg

Day Three: My favorite day! We hit up Epcot this day. We didn't get there until 11!!!! DH just had to use the breakfast vouchers this day which caused us to miss rope drop. I just love Epcot! It's so pretty! We followed my Epcot plain (never fails!). This was the day I found the nerve to ride Soarin'! We did some KP missions, rode Soarin', SSE, Nemo, Figment. We did everything we wanted to do this day and more. The only thing I regret is missing Illuminations!
Crowds: Three
Day in general: 5! Can you tell I just love Epcot?!?!
Food: Breakfast- 1! Worse food ever!!!
Lunch: Sunshine seasons- Chicken! Five, of course!
Dinner: Sunshine Seasons- Chinese food- Five. It was a SS double day.

I can't get over how different the girls look in these pictures compared to now!
Day 4: Today we raided DHS! We finally made RD and went straight to TSM! We met a ton of characters. We did a lot of things that wasn't on the list, but in return we missed a lot of things we like to do every trip! We got into Sci-fi for dinner without an ADR! It was such a fun day! We closed at Epcot.
Crowds: It depends where some popular attractions were empty but Muppets was a 45 minute wait! I'll go with a three.
Food:
Lunch- backlot. The portions were really small. 2 and it was just so-so
Dinner- Sci-fi. Slow service but good food. 4
day in general- 4
