Magic hour - wouldn't that make park busier?

I've heard that the parks WITHOUT the magic hour aren't as busy. Like say Sunday is MK "Magic Hour".. I've been told that's a better day to go to another park because EVERYONE follows the magic hour schedule. LOL...If this is some secret or something.. email me at birdiegirlmags@yahoo.com just put "magic hour" in title so I won't delete!

No secret at all! Generally speaking, if you choose not to use EMH, then go to the park that had EMH the day before! Or if you DO use EMH, then go there first, enjoy EMH, and then hop to the other park when the EMH park gets busy.

I hope that this makes sense. :)

this is exactly what we do

ancient Chinese secret huh???? (LOL.. remember that commercial??) :p Thanks guys!! See.. I didn't even think of going to the one that had the hours the day before. Smart cookies in here! :teeth:

We usually hit at least one magic hour at MK and one at Epcot but we don't stay at that park all day. We find that during the early morning the park is not busy at all - crowds start to build around 11ish. At MK we can do all of Fantasyland and most of Tomorrowland before the park opens. We stay until the crowds build and then head to the resort for a break and a swim. We then return to another park for the late afternoon evening - usually MGM or Epcot.

If you don't plan to take advantage of the early entry then I would definately suggest a park other than the ee park. Another great reason to have park hoppers!

Scrappymags... I remember that! Of course the kids have no idea and think dad is nuts, but that's not unusual.

I totally agree with the "park hopping" plan. My only caveat would be that if you have smaller kids, they may not want to leave Magic Kingdom (or whichever park you happen to be at for EMH). We had a little flair up when we attempted to do that--kids have their own mental itinerary!

This is great to see. This is exactly what I was thinking. I was hoping, but I wasn't sure if we would get that much done before the park opened. :Pinkbounc

It's a pretty nice feeling on the early entry to have ridden what you want to ride, and to be heading for the gates like a salmon upstream as the park is filling up. It's true that by 3 or 4 hours after the early opening time, even in non busy times, the early entry is park is pretty jammed -- particularly the MK on a Sunday.

If you plan to do EMH plan to be at the EMH park before the time actually starts. You will LOVE it when you have the whole place to yourself!!!!! It is so hard to get up that early on vacation but totally worth it! It is a good idea to plan on a different park for the afternoon.:teeth:

How much of a difference does EMH make for a park's crowd in the off-season? The time we're headed to WDW (Nov. 10-19) is rated as a crowd level of 2 in the Unofficial Guide, and I was hoping that would mean even the EMH day crowds would be very low.

Is that not the case? Maybe I need to change all my PS!

We were there around 11/15 two years ago and it was very very uncrowded. I don't think we waited more than 10 minutes for anything, except for the rocking roller coaster at peak park time -- like 2 p.m. There would have been no need for early entry. But I think there was still some post 9/11 downturn back then.

My son and his friend got to ride Rockin' Rollercoaster 3 times on a early entry morning. Then the park got busy, so we left MGM and went somewhere else.
