Magic Goes Texan! Eight Crazy Nights (3/1/2013 Bahamas)

It was a nightmare trying to add my mother last week! All cabins are now locked to a max of three people per cabin (even the existing room reservation we had that could sleep 4)! I kept on checking everyday and a 4 person ocean view would appear, then disappear when I emailed my TA. It did this three different times/days. Finally on the fourth day the TA snagged it when DCL opened. It was a little more $$ (inside to outside), but it will personally save me $ because one of my kids is now free :-). So a special shout out to Kelsie with Dreams Unlimited for going the extra mile and snagging the cabin!!

So, there are some cabins available still for this cruise, but with a max of three per cabin and apparently adults only!!

Hmmmmm. Not sure about that...if someone wants to volunteer to do it that's great, but I don't want anyone to feel obligated, especially this close to our sail date. It can be an expensive and time-consuming undertaking. For me it was just something I did on our last cruise as a thank you for the group organizers, and because all our personal door magnets are already made.

For anyone who missed the magnet cut-off date - they are easy to make yourself, especially as Tracey (traceyj123) has already done the graphic design. She can e-mail you a PDF, and all you have to do is print it and cut it out. You can print to card stock and have it laminated, then secure some magnetic tape to the back, or you can print it directly onto magnet paper which runs through a printer like regular paper.

Can you verify if you got our request for the magnet. I have not seen the list.

Want to add my 13yr nephew w my mom who is only 1 person at adult fare BUT Disney states no more kids allowed???:(

I was just able to search for a new reservation for 1 adult and 1 child (age 13) and many cabins came up available, so I'm pretty sure it doesn't mean no more kids allowed on the ship. I suspect that your specific cabin's muster station is full so they can't add anyone at all to that cabin. Perhaps you can change cabin and maybe even category to one that will allow adding the 13 year old? Right now I see 3 inside and verandah categories available, and 4 different ocean-view categories.

For example, ocean-view category 9b came up listing 8 specific cabins available, and I know that's the max numbers displayed, so there might even be more. Category 10a interior comes up with GTY only and you can't choose a specific cabin.

Assuming that you have 2 cabins total and you want them to be together, you may have to be flexible in moving both of them somewhere with availability. Depending on how many people are in the first cabin (especially if there are 4), that might be tricky though. I know I changed to a different cabin in our same category about 3 weeks before our last cruise with no cost increase, and it was over Thanksgiving which was also extremely full.

I bet you can get your nephew added, but will have to be flexible about changing cabin at least for your Mom's and you might not be able to keep them together!:thumbsup2

I called Disney last night and they said "No problem" we would just need to change to late seat dining. So I gave them his name and so on...then at end rep stated that I transfered our reservation to Disney Guru and only she could change for us...So close yet so far away...so now travel agent is on phone to try again!!!

Ok everyone FE Group 2 is officially closed. I have emailed out the final list. I am missing email addresses for Tangled22; paloshfmily; McPheronsLoveDisney, and ShelleyLynn.... Would these people please send me their email so I can send them the list.

Love them!!!

Love photos, glad this terminal looks better than when we sailed on Carnival a couple of years ago. Do we know what time they start allowing guests in. I know in PC we have arrived as early as 10:30. We also have a carry on item that will not go through the security machine, can they hand check? It is a hoop slip for my granddaughters formal. It won't fit in luggage either. Grandpa is really looking forward to carrying a slip. LOL.

FE gifts finished, combined the two groups to one list sorted by deck and cabin number. Now to take all this stuff I have been gathering, figure out what we really need and start packing. Only three weekends left to get this done, wish me luck!

I think our room # did not show on the list, funforall - our cabin is # 8040. (had to do the 8th deck because we have 5 in the room.) Almost have our fe gifts done, just waiting on an order. It is getting close and I am eager to pack, but still a little early.

We have 5 in our group but i was told its less expensive to book 2 adjoing rooms, is this not true??

Hi all,

Getting ready for our first DIS cruise and I heard / saw about the fish extender and would LOVE to get in on it with my 2 lil kiddies.

Are there any groups still open?

I think it depends on the category and when you book. When I looked at booking 5 people for last year's cruise, two inside cabins were less expensive than the deluxe family w/verandah.
