Hi guys I was jsut wondering about the magic express service, are there specfics airines you have to use to be able to use the magic express services? Also I was just wondering if this services is available to those outsides the states? Thanks for all your help in advance! :flower:

Any airline serving MCO will work for Magical Express. There are some airlines where you can check in for your return flight at the resort. I don't think I understand your second question. If you're asking if international airlines will work, I think they will. Someone else will have the answer.

Thank you for your help. I remember when the first announce the magic express ,there was only a group of participating airlines? I guess they changed that. Thanks for clearing it up. As for my second question, sorry for not making it clear. I am from Canada would I still be able to use this services, as I can recall again from when they first made this announcement it was only those having domestic flights in the U.S that can use this service. Again I only skimmmed itwhen it first came out. :)

I am sorry I have another question. Do you have to do the reservation yourself or can your travel agent do it? Reservations have to be made 21 days before arrival right? What if I don't buy my airline tickets before this deadline? :confused3

There are no specific airlines that can use the service, however, there are specific airlines that can use the hotel luggage check in service when you return to the airport.

International guests can use the service. As I understand it, you should not put the luggage tags on your luggage when leaving Canada. The reason is if they have to go through customs you need to claim your luggage after it goes through customs and then, if you want to leave your luggage with Disney to get to your room, you then attach your luggage tags at that point.

You don't have to let Disney handle your luggage. You can take it on the bus with you. A driver like myself will place it under the coach and then upon arrival at your resort, you claim your luggage back and take it inside the resort with you.

As for your other question about the reservations, I don't know that answer. Sorry. :guilty:

I think you will be okay. It looks to me that the only international flight issue comes up with doing the check in for your departing flight. There are only certain airlines that participate AND if you are on an international flight, you cannot utilize the service.

Here is a FAQ site about DME. This might help you.

We are flying Northwest (from Michigan) and cannot check in at the resort for our return flight. Everything else is the same though.

We just got our DME vouchers, etc. yesterday. In the booklet is this message to International Guests:

For our international arriving guests, if the Orlando International Airport is your first point of entry into the US, please follow the US Customs & Border Protection process and claim your luggage upon disembarking the airplane. Once you have completed this process, please proceed to the main Terminal building where you will be met by a Disney representative. Your luggage will be transferred to the Baggage Claim area, where we will collect it. If you have already completed the US Customs & Border Protection process in another US city or before entering the US, please proceed to the main Terminal building and we will claim your luggage.

Hope this helps you.

If you use a travel agent then you have to have your travel agent make the DME reservations for you. I'm pretty sure the deadline for reservations/registration is 10 days before your flight, not 21.

By the way, there was no change to the list of airlines. The words used to describe them are misleading. EVERYONE who is staying at a WDW resort can equally use DME upon arrival. EVERYONE. No matter what airline. As others have said, the only difference is on the return trip. EVERYONE gets a ride back to the airport, but only those using participating airlines can check in their luggage at their hotel lobby (and not see it again until at their home airport) and also get their boarding passes printed, thus enabling them to skip checking in at the airport for their return flight.

Thanks for all of your replys its greatly appreciated. I think when we do go down to Disney World, we will go through the Detroit airport anyways, its much cheaper there than leaving in my own city lolz. :flower:
