Magic Express Question

Hi Please excuse me if this question sounds strange but.... my husband and I are arriving in Orlando Int Airport 2 days before our 22 year old daughter from the UK we all have arrangements for the Magic Express we are DVC members and staying concierge at Animal Kingdom (yes we saved our points only a Studio)

As our flight gets in evening we would like to be at the airport to meet our daughter do you think this is something that Disney would allow for us to go on the magic express to collect her and then return with her meaning an extra two way trip on the magic express if not we will book a taxi or hire a car, any thoughts from a Brit I know at 22 she is responsible:thanks:

No they will not. Your ME vouchers are good for 1 round trip to/from the airport per person on the reservation.

Suggest that your daughter call you after she clears customs and gets to the main airport terminal (or before if you prefer). You can remain anywhere at WDW. You talk with her to reassure her and to guide her to the Magical Express welcoming area.

Oops, cancel that unless you have U.S. privileges on both cell phones to avoid roaming charges.

They have made exceptions in the past for parents of children who are too young to ride DME alone - IIRC under 18 so it can't hurt to call and ask.

Although I will say it is very clearly marked and easy to find and I doubt your daughter will have any trouble at all.

Thank you I will ask, I know she will be ok she is a primary school teacher and has to organise 6 year olds. I am just a mum who has trouble letting go :scared:

Actually, I believe the age is 16 and under that aren't allowed to ride by themselves. And we have heard of times that DME has allowed a guest to ride back to MCO in order to be there to meet a minor. But....that isn't going to work with a 22 y/o!!
I know how hard it is to believe our kids are grown up. I worried and worried when my 18 y/o flew to WDW from Mass last year...just her and two friends. They managed just fine!!
I would just make sure that she has the map of the airport that shows how to get to the DME area. She'll be fine.

She will be fine. She's 22, has a full time job where she cares for other people's children, and is old enough to fly across the ocean without you. It's a well-populated airport with easy to follow signs. The ME people are friendly. I wouldn't even call. You are going to look silly when you tell them you are afraid to let your adult daughter take the bus by herself.

Oh Thank you, you have all made me realise just how silly I am being I will take your advise and just wait at the resort, after all she is staying at home extra couple of days to look after my other girls a Beagle and Spaniel until they can go to Kennels, I think I just have to have something to worry about X :dog2::dog::hug:
