Magic Express Question

OK, so here's the deal. My wife and daughter are flying to Orlando and will meet up there with her aunt and neice for a "girl's weekend at Disney" in January. The aunt and neice will drive down and have made reservervations for the four of them to share a room at Movies. All four will be correctly registered in the room.

So, can my wife and daughter use DME? The room won't be in their name, but they will be on the ressie. Can we call to set this up, or will her aunt (ressie in aunt's name). Thanks for the help!

As long as their names are on the reservation they can set up a ride on the ME.

As bgirl said, as long as they are on the itenerary they should be fine. I am wondering about the vouchers they send however.Please call Disney's Magical Express Guest Services at (866) 599-0951. They should be asble to help you mare than any of us can. I hope they have a safe and fun trip.

They can use magical express, the vouchers will be sent to the aunt I believe as that is whom the reservation is under but she can just send them to your wife and if you don;'t get them in time that isn't a problem either as long as they have a reservation on DME they can ride.

That is correct; the person who made the ressie will receive all the tickets and tags.

In my case, I added my two traveling companions after I made my initial ressie. For some reason, ME did not pick up their names and only sent the ticket and tag for me. I called immediately and they sent out a whole new packet with all three tags; I received it about three days later.

Not a problem for them to use ME, however, I am going to pose a question to our fellow Dissers for you if you don't mind.......

Does the Aunt, who the reservation is under, need to be the one to call and make the ME reservations? We have had many family members visit the world with us the last few years and have no problem getting ME for them, however, I am the one who has made the resort reservations and I am the one who has set up ME. I'm wondering if I HAVE to be the to do that or can anyone on the reservation set up ME. (Mine might be a different scenario because we are DVC members)

It is easier for the primary person on the ressie to make the ME reservation. You have all the information they need to confirm the reservation.

If someone else made the reservation and they are not the primary person, then you have to give that person your confirmation number, your full name, your phone number and address to confirm the ressie before they can add the names.

It is so much easier to have the primary person do it for all people under the reservation.

Now, we are lucky that we are all flying on the same flight and arriving at the same time - if everyone is arriving at different times, you will want to give them the time each person is arriving to give them an idea of what time of day they plan on using ME.

In my case, a few years ago, we had one person in our party arriving an hour later, so gave her flight number for all four of us. Then we just waited in the airport for her and all rode over together. If people are arriving much later, you may want to give different arrival times.
