Magic express pick up time

Just trying to find out what the return pick up time is for international flights to see if we have time to do a couple of hours in the park before we leave for the airport. Return flight is around 5pm to LGW.

I think last September they picked us up a good 4 hours before our flight!

It will be around 4 hours before your flight - for a 5pm flight you will need to plan on being back to your resort by 12.30pm.

Our flight home yesterday (via Atlanta) was 4.30pm and the bus picked us up at 12.50pm, it was there early but it was fine as we were waiting from 12.30pm.

We've usually been scheduled to be collected a little less than 4 hours before and even when it was 3 hours we were at the airport in plenty of time. Except last year - when they forgot about us and had to arrange an emergency taxi and contact BA and ask let them know we were on our way I had called and queried the pick up time which was only 3 hours prior to departure and they assured me it was fine. Only trouble was, by the time Bell Services figured out that ME had missed out POFQ (we were the only guests there booked on that bus) time had run out. The point is, if you are not comfortable with the amount of time given when they drop the ME envelope on your room door the day before, call them and ask for an earlier bus.

Our ME was 14:00 for a 19:30 flight! For some reason they seem to add an hour on for international flights.

It did take a while to get through security though. We had time to shop and have dinner then we were able to board the plane.

For international flights the pick up time is 4 hours before your flight because of customs.

We changed out pick up rime since the ME driver was scheduled to stop at a number of locations after our resort. I asked for a pick up an hour earlier , a good job too since the weather turned really nasty as we arrived and then the airport was closed due to a very nasty lightning storm, they close up if there is lightning within 5 miles of the airport, we made use of the time by popping to Nathan's for a meal and then waited by the gate for the airport to re-open so the planes could land and the staff could work safely. Gantry staff quite rightly refuse to work out in the wet weather too.
Weather is always something to take into consideration with airport transportation no matter what the time of year. So glad we did this as the food at Atlanta wasn't that great at 10pm ish when we got there and the weather was still poor all the flights had been delayed due to the big storm front over the north east region....Thank goodness we made it to our connection still.

Well it didn't turn up at 3:50!!! OKW Greeter rang them at 4 pm to chase, taxi arrived. About 4:20, still plenty of time for our light, even had a meal at Outback Steakhouse. Let Bell Services know you're using ME and they'll look after you.

By the sounds of things the traffic was terrible yesterday due to the villains event at DHS.

I agree 4 hours seems a bit too long but you need it. The security line can be horrendous.
