Magic Express after changing resort

Hi I just changed my ressie to stay at a different resort. My luggage tags for Magic Express has come in even before my confirmation package. Anyways Disney tells my TA that they won't send more luggage tags for the new resort? Why not? lolz. What should I do, should I just take a market and cross out the old resort and write in my new resort? Basically what Disney told my TA was that I have to identify my luggage anyways, so their no point in sending new tags. TIA

Crossing out the old resort name and writing in the new resort name is worth a try, but you should also black out all bar codes and numeric codes on the yellow tag.

Then, when you get to the ME welcoming area at Orlando airport, specifically tell the CM that you modified the luggage tags.

Other alternative, don't use the yellow luggage tags and fetch the baggage from the carousel yourself.

Let's start a fad! For all trips to anywhere, make up 3x5 cards each with the same 3 digit number of your choice in large digits and with your name in smaller print. Plaster two on each of your suitcases. If it is necessary to hunt down your baggage the number will come in handy.

Don't bother with the incorrect tags. When you get to DME give them your baggage claim tickets and they can retrieve your luggage. You can go ahead to the resort.

My resort was changed after I had already received first set of ME tickets too, and was told to just go to ME counter at airport and give CM my new reservation number and all would be sorted out. However, a week later...a new set of ME tags showed up with the correct resort on them (even though I was told they don't do that???).

Before I got the new tags, I was calming myself knowing that in the beginning days of ME...folks were transported and able get their bags even if they hadn't received ANY tags.

If you are like me...it probably won't help to tell you to relax and not worry...but my best wishes that things work out like "magic" for you.
