Can this be safely used on a smooth top stove? I threw out the box and the "special" cleaner for the stove isn't doing the trick..

It's not my stove - LOL - so I don't want to wreck it and get tossed out on the street..

But this is what it does say.

Att: The Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is a highly effective cleaning tool. TEST first on an inconspicous spot with light pressure to see if surface may scatch. Not recommended for use on surfaces that are p9olished/glossy, or on finishes that are brushed, satin or dark.

Because I'd used it on sooo many things, I just handed it to my granddaughter and pointed to the countertop (she was earning extra money helping me clean). She cleaned a couple of spots and then said..hey gramma..look how dull the countertop is. Darn darn darn.

Have you tried Ceramabrite? THat works wonders on ours. It comes with a little yellow scrubby pad. And a razor. Sounds like a lot of work, it's really not. We got ours from Home Depot.

This is the stuff I've used for two years now to clean my smooth top stove and it works great! Lasts a long time too.
