Since this years trip we are spending at AKL and where able to save up the cash this year( NOT TO MENTION HAVE 9-0 on a Superbowl box ) to enjoy our one dream vacation we would like to eat at some of the Nicer restaurants this go around make it our all out vacation.

Any suggestion at these 3 parks ? any help would be greatly appreciated !

If you are staying at Animal Kingdom and want a truly special dining experience (not in the MK, DHS or EC), Jiko is the answer. It is beautiful, upscale, with warm servers, a wonderful wine list and delicious food.
To answer your direct question - I guess you mean Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios restaurants?
Nothing particulary "upscale" at the MK. I would eat lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern, or probably eat a CS lunch there and dinner at a sitdown Table Service at a nearby resort. 'OHana in the Poly would be great, Kona at the Poly too. 1900 Park Faire at the GF if you want characters gets great reviews too.
The "upscale" choice at DHS is the Hollywood Brown Derby. It does not appeal to us and we have never been there. We really enjoy the 50's Prime Time Cafe. The atmosphere is fun, the servers are great and we love the food choices.
We have so many favorites in the World Showcase of Epcot that it is hard to list them. If "upscale" is important to you than Le Bistro in France is your choice. Again, we prefer other places. In no particular order, we enjoy La Hacienda de San Angel in Mexico, the Biergarden in Germany, Teppan Edo and Tokoyo Dining in Japan, Restaurant Marrakesh in Morrocco, Rose & Crown Pub in the UK and Le Cellier in Canada.
With over 100 sit down restaurants on WDW property, a little more info on your desires would help us narrow it down.
Have a Great Trip

While there are tons of restaurants I LOVE at these parks, I'm not sure I'd call them upscale. If you want upscale, definitely go to one of the Deluxe hotels-our faves are Cali Grill in the Contemporary and Ohana at the Poly. Any of the Signature dinners would be great if you're wanting that upscale feel. Happy Planning!!:thumbsup2

MK: Cinderella's Royal Table ! (CRT)

DHS: Do a Fantasmic Dining Package with which your choices will be : H&V (Hollywood & Vine) MM (Mama Melrose) and HBD (Hollywoods Brown Derby)

EPCOT: Try one of my Fav's Teppan Edo, Le Cellier or another suggestion

AK: Yak and Yeti is wonderful..
Have a magical visit !

We love the signature dining options. I would definitely hit Jiko at AKL.

Epcot: any country that you are interested in.
DHS: We always go to the Brown Derby
MK: Cinderella's Castle is fun with kids and convenient
We love California Grill for Wishes. We also like Narcoosies and Citricos.
AK: ???? - I have not been to a restaurant in AK so I do not know.

As the OP has given no indication as to the make up of their party (kids? how old?) depending on what you mean by "nicer restaurants" I would suggest not eating inside the Magic Kingdom at all and goign to a nearby resort. I like the Wave, 'Ohana is fun and the food is not bad, there's fine dining in the form of Citricos, Narcoosees and California Grill, you can take a boat over to Wilderness Lodge to try Artist Point.

thank you all truly appreciate the help ! and i definable miss used the upscale part what i meant was some of the restaurants that you need reservations for and possibly dine with the characters. also again sorry still new to this , Just me and my girlfriend on our second vacation together !

Well, upscale and needing reservations are certainly 2 different things. Disney calls them "advanced dining reservations" or "ADRs" on the boards. You can make ADRs for most restaurants through the Disney website. I would recommend you do this for many nights to avoid a long wait. Check out this site and Allears.net for menus, reviews etc.

We have found that the "signature" (fine dining) restaurants are, in general, not worth the extra cost. We enjoy the moderate restaurants with fun atmosphere; wispering canyon, sci-fi, 50's prime time, etc.

As others have already suggested, it is a wonderful experience to go to different resorts for dinner to both experience the restaurant and explore the resort (for your next visit)

If you want to eat where there are characters, it is best to have an ADR ("reservation"). Character meals are typically the most popular places, so getting a walk-up may be very difficult.

These are the character meal places that I can think of:
MK: Crystal Palace, CRT (princesses)
Epcot: Garden Grill (dinner only), Akerhaus (princesses)
DHS: Hollywood & Vine
AK: Tusker House

There are several other choices, but they are all at resorts. Such as 1900 PF (GF), Ohana (Poly), Chef Mickey (CR), and Cape May (BC).

In general, if you want to eat anywhere, make an ADR. Walk-ups can be hit-or-miss, especially during free dining periods, high crowd periods, at the most common meal times, and at the more popular restaurants (especially those inside a park).

[Edit: Thanks TDC_Nala - I fixed it - I had Disneyland on the brain!]

The Plaza at MK does not have a character meal - that would be Crystal Palace.

Not sure now if the OP is looking for character meals or upscale dining or both (character meals are not known for their food quality).

never crossed my mind to check out other resorts. Great suggestion, as for the others ty again i will begin my research on these place ..again thank you very much all.

Hey OP... we will be at AK in May as well.... 5/25 - 6/2

We also loved the Character Breakfast at "Ohana... in the Poly... and it's a beautiful resort !

Have a magical visit !

Just thought I would pipe in that the Crystal Palace is fantastic. The food was fantastic when I was there for lunch and am excited to see what dinner is like. I went there for lunch with my Mom when I went to Disneyworld before the marathon. The guy/gal doing Tigger during lunch still makes me grin because he treated me like I was still a kid even at 22, which was great for me. Its enough that I'm returning to get dinner there on the Friday before the Princess half marathon since I registered after the Pasta Party sold out.

In the magic kingdom the best place to me is the crystal palace, plus it's character dining, which is always loads of fun. Also, you should try out Ohana at the Polynesian. It is AMAZING! Only a short monorail ride away from MK.

As for Hollywood studios, I love the 50's prime time cafe and brown derby.

Epcot has so many amazing restaurants that it's hard to choose. I love San angel inn, and le cellier though:).

HTH!

I'd choose:

MK - Breakfast at Cinderella's Table, Dinner at California Grill
Epcot - Akershus breakfast, Le Cellier dinner
Hollywood - Brown Derby

Definitely Jiko at AKL!

We're definitely going to try Jiko at AKL! I've heard great things about it. Has anyone done the Wanyama Safari and dinner? Is it worth it?
