Magic Double-dip "SCOOP AWAY THE POUNDS"

Rachael.....awww poor baby! Actually maintaining your weight during times of stress is a GREAT accomplishment ::yes:: so don't sell yourself short in that department. Sounds like your body has found a 'set point' and it will probably take some drastic action (....exercise...ick) to kick back in to weight loss mode.

I'm up one pound this AM...not surprising due to four restaurant meals since Friday....two of which included FRENCH FRIES. :rolleyes: Off to buy grocery supples and to get plenty of good things for my lunch this week!

Thanks for the kind words for DS, ladies! I've calmed down considerably:), he, however, is still on Cloud 9. Keeps saying that he just can't believe it!

Peggy...you can use a hand held HAM radio with the license he just earned, but I don't know if that's the kind he'll decide to get. The license gives him his call sign (I think that's what it's called...obviously, he didn't get his HAM skills from me) and FCC approved rights to operate an amateur radio.

Rachel...you know, Jackie's right...just maintaining when all hell's breaking loose around you is impressive! As my delivery prep focused on, In with the Good, Out with the Bad. Hang in there!!!

Rachel- I am thinking of you and sending good wishes! Stress is a B**ch isn't it?! It does such crazy things to our bodies! This month is always crazy for me too- finishing up the school year is a busy and stressful time so I know how you feel! I am hoping things get better for you soon.

Hope everyone had a long and restful weekend. My family and I went to a family reunion this weekend in the mountains. You know that we are all from the south so that means lots and lots of food! :teeth: I ate so much one night they had to roll me back to the cabin! But, we were all active so I hope that makes up for it. We went horseback riding, rode paddle boats , swam up a storm and played football and volleyball in the park. We worked up a SWEAT!

Back to the real world and time to get back on track! I put on a bathing suit this weekend and if that is not a reason to get inspired I don't know what is! The poor elastic in that suit- I felt sorry for it! :confused3

Ok, I go to weigh in after a long and "bad" weekend!!!! I never got to the gym, my horse had issues with her eye (again...arghhh) she keeps poking it. But it is on the healing road now, very agressive eye ointment. My "baby" (he's 21) horse is limping again too.... talk about stress and I over ate because of it. (Punishment?)... ok, breathe in, breathe out.

I'm back on track today - but pray for me ladies - that my "gain" isn't too horrible!:wizard:

Anyone coming to chat tonight? Jackie reminded me this morning and I might have to pass again ( I should be at the gym - if not at the horses medicating my little "girl")... but maybe I'll pop in first?
 
Ahhh, the dreaded swim suit (and its poor elastic). I've sworn off suit shopping until, oh, maybe September...hoping, hoping, it will be a little less frightening then than it would have been last September. Your weekend sounds SO fun, Sherry, I'm sure all the activity and fresh air countered the good southern cookin' for you.

Sending you a :grouphug: I hope Colby is feeling much better. Your bussiness sounds really stressfull but very interesting. Have you ever tried pilates? It had done wonders for me ( years ago) really helped with the last few pounds. I have been tring to start it again but have been having major back problems. I pulled it out Friday (trying to unload the dishwasher while keeping Angelina out on the knives I snezzed!) Needless to say it has been a long weekend. I keep praying everynight that it will be better when I wake but now Angelina and I have a cold and were up sneezing all night so no luck. So forget excerise for me the last few days. I just hope I dont have a weight gain.

:rotfl2: I cannot believe it!!!! :cheer2: I guess the work -outs have changed my metabolism some. We did do a lot of walking up that hill in Jerome, so maybe that paid off. I don't know... but GALS - I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER!!!!!

I will hit my 10 pound mark by Friday - !!!!!!

 
I do not know where to begin. You guys crack me up. I love the ealstic scenario. Way to funny Sherry. Peggy-Jo, good for you, sounds like it could have been worse.

Well, I was gonna write in to share this new, low point, snack. It is the jello fat free pudding, chocolate and chocolate/vanilla swirl cups. They are only 2 pts. Now it even gets better, add some 1.5 cups fresh strawberries (cut up and sprinkled with splenda). Total snack is 2.5 points. Yummy. I had it after lunch today and for dessert last night and tonight. Well, I am off to pack a little more. Then to chat tonight.
 
I love those sugar free jello with fruit as a snack too. Although my plan doesn't do "points" it does allow for these! I also like the McDonald ice cream cones (I believe they are 3 points) - but check with Jackie for sure on that. Ice milk = yummy!

Yes, Dee I agree I was really thinking I'd have 3-4 pound gain. Ok, gotta finish a few things before I leave work and head to the gym - see you on chat.

I have been so good this week, but am afraid I have not lost the 2 lbs I wanted. I have not even touched my bonus points. I am going to do my best and stay positive.

You guys are an inspiration to me as well.

Dee, forgive my ignorance, but what are bonus points? Is that extra food you haven't been able to eat in a day?? I have faith that, bonus points or no bonus points, you'll have a great week!

Jackie, yeah!!! for erasing the pound!!! Wish they had a Pink Pearl you could buy for that...

Oh, and Jackie, I think I got an AIM account set up long ago, but I'm going to have to check it out. To be perfectly honest, I'm a little apprehensive about the whole chat thing. It was SO difficult for me to post in the first place...official lurker here. I'm going to try, though, so as soon as I see what my account status is, I'll PM you with my name, if you could please add me to your contact list. For months, we've have wrestling and baton/tumbling on Tuesday nights, so that made making chat challenging. No more wrestling, baton's now earlier for summer, and swim team won't conflict, so I really don't have any excuses! Thank you for giving a mini-recap!!!

So, are you all planning Palo brunch for Monday together? Sounds fun!:)

I'm dying to try the Crocs, but not sure about sizing. My foot's changing shape (think it's a bunion). Thinking looser shoes may help...?

Ok, here's what I've done. I picked up some "Take-Off" juice from LA Weight Loss and I'm on a two day strict flush. I decided it wouldn't hurt coming off the bad weekend and will certainly give me that push to him my goal of 10 lb loss!!!

So far so good. I was a little hungry this morning - but made it through. Heck it's only two days for pete's sake.

Carolyn..bonus points are just that. You get an additional 35 points to use during the week. Some people use 5 a night. I try not to use them at all.

I had thought about using one tonight for DQ, but passed as I have wi tomorrow.

Carolyn, if you want to give the IM thing a 'test' run we can do it with just a few of us (maybe the west coasters), so you can get a feel for it.

Not exactly planning a group lunch at Palo, just everyone agreed that would be the best day for brunch ('cause we want to have our DIS celebration lunch on Thursday at Luminere's). Also, a lot of our crowd are traveling in groups already! Peg and I are going to shoot for a 'late-ish' seating, as we want to do the gym and some kind of spa visit beforehand....at least that's the plan as of right now ;) We're kind of hoping when the time comes someone will want to share our brunch with us and allow us to share a Palo DINNER with them (as you can only book one Palo visit in advanc and only for the # in your cabin...I believe).

Dee, remember to use those bonus points once and awhile....it's good to 'shake up' the calorie count....keeps the old metabolism guessing.
