I am very pleased to recommend Magic City Transportation to anyone who will be hiring a transportation company versus using DME.

We weighed our options and decided that we just weren't comfortable with the whole DME set-up. I then began the search for a transportation company for our trip. We have used many of the transportation companies over the years and only had one negative experience with one company that shall remain nameless.

I reviewed websites, read the boards, and did some research on area companies. I came across Magic City Transportation and felt it was a "mom and pop" type of operation. I just got that feeling from the website and the perception was totally accurate. The roundtrip cost for transporation from MCO to Polynesian was $80, a $5 discount, because I mentioned that I had read reports about his service on the boards. A great rate for a terrific service!

Anthony and Jeanette were very personable and professional. Anthony drives and Jeanette does the bookings and dispatch. Anthony was very congenial and helpful. He was waiting at the escalator with sign in hand and a smile on his face. He handled our luggage despite our protests that we could do it and was genuinely a nice guy. His van was immaculately clean and he was professionally dressed. Anthony was a terrific driver, cautious and courteous. He made our grocery stop at Publix and told us not to worry how long it took us (we were very brief though).

On our return home, Anthony was in the designated location at the Polynesian prior to the scheduled pick-up time as were we. Despite heavy traffic, we arrived at the airport in plenty of time to check luggage and clear the security area.

As I said, we have used other town car/transporation companies in the past and this was far and away the best experience! I think that is primarily due to the owners. We give Magic City 8 big thumbs up!

BTW, if you opt to book with Magic City Transportation, don't mention the NY Yankees to Anthony--he's a Bo Sox guy! :rotfl:

ROFL!!! So has Anthony's hair grown back yet? :) When he picked us up from the resort on 6/11 he was a little different than when he had left us there. He lost a bet with his DD on a Yankees game & had to shave his head. If we ever need a towncar in the future, they will be the first ones that we call.

So glad to hear continuing great reviews. We are reserved with them for our upcoming July trip and I will let you know about our experience as well.

Same here...we have them reserved for July also! Thanks for posting Tess!

We had Anthony as our driver as well, back in March...the week before Easter. I can't say enough great things about him and his company!! Timely, professional, they gave us a deluxe stroller to use the entire week we were there, provided 2 car seats, and gave my children an autograph book and pen, and glow cubes. He also had a giant Mickey Mouse doll sitting in one of the car seats, just waiting to play with my kids!

A wonderful company!!

We are also glad to hear the continuing great reviews. We have them reserved for our September vacation. :sunny:

We will be returning soon this fall, and I think we will be going with these guys too. Im so glad to hear all the positive feedback with them. Always helpfull starting off a great vacation with good people :)

We are planning on using this company also. I have never used this type of service before, so my question is what is the normal tipping amount?
Thanks

what is the normal tipping amount?

I guess your going to get a wide variety of answers for this. Some may say tip as a percent like you would for dinner (15% etc). Some may say tip dependant on how well the service is. We tipped on our trip from the airport, and tipped for our return trip to the airport. Good thing because we had 2 different drivers. We had a limo and just 2 people, our driver handled our luggage and was very kind. The limo was all setup for us, music playing fiber optics going etc.. We tipped $30 each way I think. But then again we've been tolder we are over tippers. Just think if you were in your drivers shoes and any "troubles" they endure while being of service to you?(how many people, luggage amount, anything extra you request) Hope I was of some help. :)

We like to usually tip 20% on taxis and restaurants. If the service was exceptionally good we`d tip more. But generally 15% to 20% is a standard tip. :sunny:

I wanted to post a review about these folks also!

We used them for our trip July 22-July 28th.

They were FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The service starts with the booking...I had a question regarding what type of vehicle to book (we tend to have way too much luggage!) and received a prompt curteous response from Jeanette. We then booked (via the internet) a van to/from MCO with a stop at Publix. I received a very quick confirmation from Jeanette.

A few days prior to our trip, I received a reminder of our confirmation via email from Jeanette for our reservation. (One less thing off my "to do" list!)

Anthony was waiting for us down at the baggage claim, and was very helpful with our luggage. He was a fantastic driver and very friendly and professional (we like folks like that!) We stopped at Publix as requested and headed to the hotel. Anthony unloaded our luggage for us and confirmed our pick up time and place.

When it was time to leave WDW, Anthony again wass on time and in the designated place. He loaded up our luggage (which seemed to multiply while we were there) and we were on our way. He mentioned that the highway was very backed up, so he took us another way to the airport that he felt would get us there faster. (we arrived at the airport very quickly!...even with an afternoon thunderstorm going on!) He dropped us off at our designated gate and unloaded our luggage for us again. He wished us a safe trip home as he shook our hands good bye!

We will definitely use them again and HIGHLY recommend them to anyone seeking towncar service!!

Would love a link to them too! Looking for someone for our Jan trip.

Me too! I'd like a link or phone number to get a quote.

Thanks!

Well I too just made the reservation. They seemed to be the best choice and they had a personal feel. Not some major chain, name brand, sterile feel. haha :teeth:

Could I get the link to please :goodvibes

I called them yesterday and also visited their website (thanks to FigmentGuy).

Phone Number: (407) 575-3401

If you call them, you can ask for their website. I can't post the URL yet and don't want to violate any posting rules.

But they seemed really nice and from what I have heard I'm looking forward to using their service.
