Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) - ***UPDATED - post #411 ***

Well.. DH & I are still booked for here.. Alaska did Not make us switch :snooty:

Hawaii.. Probably would of :thumbsup2

Glad to see you're still cruising with us. We are tossing around the idea of the Panama Canal Jan. 6, 2011 cruise though. If we can get it for the same price we might switch.

I'm with you, while someday I would love to cruise Alaska, right now Hawaii is tops on my list.
Glad to see you'll be staying on our cruise and I love your ticker!
tenya:santa:

Hawaii would be the ultimate paradise: Disney cruise + Hawaii =
But this cruise will be pretty close to the ultimate!

I appreciate that you love my ticker. I just wish the Christmas tree would move a little faster. Well, all good things are worth the wait :goodvibes

As we were shopping yesterday, what did I see in some stores? Christmas Decorations!!!!!!!!:santa: I did get a little excited thinking that this time next year our Merriest Christmas cruise with Mickey will be months away.

This weekend I have been surfing the Dis boards looking at the Magic/Wonder at Christmas time. The decorations are festive. They will get us all in the "Holly Jolly" mood. The Christmas tree in the atrium is wonderful. Christmas decorations on Castaway Cay. WOW! Snorkeling and snow...priceless.

I just have a few questions: How many Dis cruisers are sailing with us? Does anybody know how full our cruise is? Is anybody thinking of a cruise logo?

I hope all is well with my fellow cruisers.

I am looking forward to: DD's first high school dance (Homecoming); my husband's birthday and our anniversary (15 years); First Confirmation class, and Halloween Time at Disneyland.

Have a fabulous weekend!

I had to redo my ticker. I put it up this time last year, and it looked closer to the end then the cruise I have planned in 5 weeks. Although it had to start over, it looks a little more realistic in time.

I am not creative (or technical) enough to come up with a cruise logo. Anyone out there that can, please do!!!!

I went to the grocery store yesterday and they had 2 isles of Christmas supplies already up.. :sad2:

Cruise Logo.. hmmm... :confused3

Disney Christmas "Magic" with the Dis

Magical Christmas at Sea with the Dis

Christmas in the Southern Caribbean with DCL Magic

:santa:

I'll keep thinking

Hello All,
Just a quick update to say we are "jumping ship" and switching our reservation to the 14-day Panama Canal cruise on Jan. 6, 2011. Four days longer and $1500 cheaper; plus, we get to go through the canal! Wishing you all a happy holiday aboard the Magic!

Hi there, we just booked the 11 Night instead of doing the 7 day Alaska, better for us no flying to Canada, and we live in Orlando. There is not too many people on here that seem to be booked? Where is everyone? Any news?

I am posting this with mixed feelings, we won't be going on the Christmas 2010 cruise. We have transferred our onboard reservation from this one to Alaska 2011. We are excited about Alaska but sad about missing what would have been our third Christmas cruise. With the same rooms and same people going on 7 night Alaskan cruise we are saving just under half the price of the Christmas cruise. :confused3

With my husband's work being iffy and the economy the way it is we just felt this was a no brainer... I hope you all have a wonderful trip!!

Well.. Hubby and I decided to Cancel our Christmas Cruise..

Have Fun ALL !!!!

WELCOME ABOARD!
I think as the cruise gets closer more people will book, and there will be more action on our thread.

Talk to you soon.

It appears that we have had a a few cruisers jump ship. Good luck to TinksMom, DCLInauguralXmas, and pfishgirl. I hope you have awesome adventures on all your future travels.

On December 18, 2009 I will be having foot surgery (it is not major). But you know where my mind will be. Yes, I will be thinking about what awaits us in a year: We will be cruising with Mickey on his Merriest Cruise ever. Most importantly, I will be sailing in my high heels!

We were thinking about booking a cruise on the Mexican Riviera, but all the dates conflict with my DD's and my school schedules. Oh well, I hope to book our Hawaiian cruise while we are aboard next year (I am still hoping for Disney and the Aloha spirit sometime in the future).

Things that I am looking forward to: Halloween Time at Disneyland tomorrow, parent/teacher conferences, surviving the DD's first quarter of high school, and celebrating Christmas early on Veteran's Day at Disneyland (the opening of Disneyland's Merriest Christmas Parade).

We are going to miss you guys, but with the new itineraries the chance was there. My parents who are booked on this cruise called last night and said they are thinking of switching to Panama. It would be a longer cruise and $2000 cheaper for them. I can not pull my kids out of school that long, so you are all stuck with us. :lmao:

OK, just read to get caught up and I will update our cruise list.

Went to DCL yesterday and they changed our itinerary. We are not going to St. Thomas now, we are going to St. Lucie which I think is cool. HOWEVER...we are now at a port on Christmas instead of at sea which I am not happy about. Last time we cruised Christmas, we were in St. Maartin and everything was closed.

I will do better posting. Crusing 10/31  and when I come back, I will be ready for the 13 month countdown.

Hello Everyone:

Last Christmas, I booked this cruise as a Christmas present to my husband and three little girls. We could only get a category 4 at the time but last week we got an exciting phone call from DCL saying that they now have a category 3 cabin available. They gave us two hours to decide whether or not we wanted it. We ended up taking it. Were a little reluctant at first because apparently you can't cancel and get your deposit back on suites. Didn't know that. I guess we are definitely going now. Anyhow we are very excited to be cruising on the Disney Magic once again. We do have two other cruises before this one but they are all very exciting to us because we are so hooked on cruising.

OK, it is getting cold in MD. I am not a cold weather person. We have actually turned on our heat this week. So, this time next year, when I am complaining about heat, I will be so happy that our Christmas cruise will only be 2 months away!:rotfl:

So our itinerary changed. We will now be spending Christmas Day in St. Lucie. Not bad, I guess. I have been to St. Thomas, and I was looking forward to visiting again. Oh well, it is Christmas on a Disney cruise. It cannot get much better than that.

I also read on the Disboards that there is a new villain show coming to the Disney Magic, which is replacing the Golden Mickeys. That was my favorite show, but I cannot wait to see the new show. Disney's entertainment is amazing so I anticipate the new show will not disappoint.

For all of you in SoCal or planning on visiting the SoCal area, Halloween Time at Disneyland is spooktacular! Fireworks were fabulous! It was great to see Disney's villains taking center stage. Of course, my favorite the Haunted Mansion's Nightmare before Christmas still is a real treat.

Things that I am looking forward to: Michael Jackson's This is It Movie, parent/teacher conferences, celebrating Christmas on Veteran's Day at Disneyland, Thanksgiving vacation, and the start of the holiday shopping season.
