Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) **** PART III ****

Finalized our plans just today for our sweepstakes win on the Dream. Going 10/2 and then adding on a few days at the end to celebrate Mickey's Halloween and some other things with the precious mdargen family!! Excited to see them again, excited to see the Dream, just excited

We are booked on the Fantasy for the week after school gets out next summer. Excited to do a Western itinerary and to see the new ship. I hope we can afford it since we are in the process of moving back to the U.S. right now. I forgot how expensive coming home was....:headache:

But before we do that, we are going with the Wonder to Alaska in July. I can't believe how quiet that board is. We are a month away from sailing and we are only at 600 posts! And we only have 14 cabins participating in the FE exchange!!! Yet, the cruise is sold out! I just don't understand it.:confused3

Just won't be the same as going with all of you guys!

Hello old cruise friends! It is nice to see a few familiar DISboard names and think about our fun Christmas cruise. We are looking forward to our Dream cruise on Sept 1. Just 3 days but we don't planning on sleeping at all. That DISboard has just a handful of active participants, and our FE exchange is only 18 cabins, I think. I am still using lots of my Christmas cruise FE items - beautiful bookmarks and makeup bags, magnets on our fridge, etc. Happy reminders of a happy time. I hope everyone is having a great summer.

Enjoy your Dream cruise!! We just got back from a 3 day on the Dream, and the kids spaces are fantastic!! Check out the hand washing machine in the kids' area (for the littler kids - Oceaner's Club or something?). Be sure to have a martini at Skybar. Bartender Benjamin from Italy is great. The Aquaduck was fun for all ages, and no lines around dinner time and show time. And the new hot tubs with the see through floor panels are fun. I hope you and your family have a great time!

Hey Liz! Thanks for the tips....
It's crazy to be "worried" about this cruise....yet I am. Worried that four days is just so dang short after 11 and worried that we won't get to see all I want to see.

So, I've made a mental note about Skybar/martini....what about the Outlook one? Any other don't miss spaces? We didn't experience any of the adult spaces, ever, before the last night of our 11 nighter and so I would at least like to walk around these...how was Pink?

I'm also going back and forth about excursions...don't really care about Nassau but thought Blue Lagoon Beach Day would be nice but should we just stay on the ship and explore?
We also snagged a cabana, somehow, and am worried about justifying that cost--especially if the kids had rather be with new friends at Pelican Plunge.

Talk me down off the ledge, Christmas cruisers!! I'm so fractious about this all of a sudden!!

It is great rereading this thread. Best Christmas ever! We are cruising the MR for Thanksgiving this year! The ship will be decked out in Christmas decorations. It will bring back fabulous memories.

I know a few Christmas cruisers will be cruising with us this Thanksgiving. I hope more will join us.

Take care!

Hope you had a great cruise Mel! I'll be on the Nov 4rd Dream cruise. Can't wait. Haven't been on the Dream since January. The transatlantic in September on the Magic was awesome. It's ashame they don't seem to be going back to Europe for awhile. We are hoping for some great rates for Christmas. Haven't booked yet. We wanted to try Aulani in Hawaii for Christmas but they are booked up already. So we wait and hope for another fabulous Christmas cruise. :cloud9:
