Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) **** PART III ****

Would love your opinions! Is it better to get my DD princess dresses in Orlando, and if so WHERE? or wait 'till we get on the boat. Having never been to Orlando OR a cruise I'm not too sure what to expect.

Very disappointed about the shuttle launch. That was the thing DH was most looking forward to :sad1:

Hoping to start packing this weekend, but I'm feeling very overwhelmed!!! Must plan to do it with a bottle of wine!:laundy:

not sure if anyone else has answered you or not.......

Princess dresses are available at Toys R Us, Downtown Disney World of Disney Store, on the ship, too.

How old? what size? which princess? PM me.....Connie

Cold here today in Central Florida! It might have gotten as low as 40 F. Brrrr.... But those pictures of snow - wow! Remind me of my days growing up in Upstate NY.

We are a party of 7. Do you think we will have our own table, or will they put someone else with us? We are 2nd seating.

Liz

Hi, Liz from Central Florida....we are also here. So Cold! we have had our heat on the last 2 nights! Oh, I think a group of 7 will have their own table.

can't wait to meet more Floridians so we can complain about the weather :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Connie

:santa:I hope there are Disney Christmas Cruise T shirts on sale on the ship!:santa::santa::santa::santa::santa:

Sorry I know this has been asked before but can some tell me the address to send my FE gifts to the ship?

Thanks!

Sounds like not so easy fixes for the shuttle  :confused3

Pot roast in crock pot, trying to find the last few pressies, thinking about packing some more. :goodvibes

Did another tasting (martini, brandy, beer, tequila) ever get off the ground?

Caryn

I have been out of pocket for a few days and needed to post about this: The woman I was working with from DCL just stopped emailing me on the additional tasting before Thanksgiving. Being that it is getting so close and so much to do, I did not try any further. It sounds like we will cross each other's paths at other tastings. Maybe we can pick one during the "meet" on Sunday

Just an FYI to people who have reservations in Cocoa Beach for the shuttle launch, it has been delayed until February. :sad1:
Thank you for the info. Disappointed, but now i can cancel my pricey room ressie and stay in Orlando.

They have a few of the Deluxe costumes on the ship. It seems they always have Jasmine and Minnie. You can PM me if you need some gently worn ones.

Does anyone know if at Magic Kingdom they sell Christmas card type pictures, like on the ship? I'd love to send some out before cruising.

Wow! Thanks, I learned something new tonight. It says No Food. Unfortunately, I guess that includes candy. I wonder if there are any other options.

Linda,

Wine is an integral part of packing at my house. Helps with decisions.

I think you will save $$ purchasing princess dresses before your trip at Toys R us, target or walmart. We found they carried them year round. Love seeing all the little girls in their Princess dresses on the ship! Heartbreakingly cute.

Uggg!

Just got my new Nook and went to download Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows only to find out none of the HP books are available for e-readers.

so disapointed

Can someone send me the link to the final FE list? I still need to print it out. I think there are others who need to do the same.

You can get them in pdf format - I know iPad and Kindle accept that format - don't know about Nook.

We always take the girls to Bibbidy Bobbity Boutique when we get to WDW. They get to choose a new outfit and get all gussied up and then go and have lunch with the princesses. Then we have the costume for the cruise.

It's not the cheapest way to do costumes - and you have to get to WDW before the cruise, but it is fun and it's the experience after all.

I think candy is okay. They don't want perishable not prepackaged food. I've sent candy before and never had a problem. We also get snacks delivered by Shirley.

So DDs came home with three birthday party invites for this weekend AND a huge family tree project that is supposed to be done by Thursday! Good grief - do they not understand that somehow we have to be packed to go on vacation by Wednesday night????:scared1: These teachers have no respect for my obsession with Disney!:sad2:

Goodness the cruise is officially two weeks away! The past month has seemed to fly by! There seems to be so much to do with so little time!

@ Lolobellica Toys R Us had some great deals on the dresses and even some accessories! I sent my husband last night to pick up a couple for our 3 year old and he said most were on sale for half price and then the accessories had a discount too. What sizes were you looking for. Our daughter got the little dress up trunk for her birthday that came with a bunch but has already grown out of them. If you want send me a PM and if they can be any use to you then you are more than welcome to have them. :wizard:

I do have a question concerning bringing food items on board in your carry on..do they allow homemade Christmas Candy if its in a sealed contained inside your carry on?

We are going to do a mock packing this week-end....I am hoping for the best but preparing for the worst when it comes to having to buy extra luggage! :guilty: My 3 year old informed me she needs just as many pairs of shoes as I planned on bringing and when I actually logically thought about it...sandals, tennis shoes, formal shoes, and flip flops I suddenly realized the little fashionista had a very valid point! :rolleyes1 She has also informed me not to forget all her dresses and her brothers dress suits! :rotfl: Shoot I may just give her the suitcases and let her go to it! :cool1: I could only imagine the things that would end up in those suitcases :lmao:.

On another note it has certainly cooled down in the Florida Panhandle. We are supposed to have minus temps from Sunday to at least Thursday. Its going to give me my little dose of memories of Canada!

Cant believe its only 2 weeks until I meet all you lovely people!:cool1:
Everyone is getting excited about leaving but I think im worse than the kids! :rotfl:
Now just getting my 2 last 2 shift out the way and I can relax:cloud9:
Happy weekend evryone.

good grief! The temp in Florida is pretty much the same as here in Ottawa, Canada right now...we don't even have any snow - just mostly rain on and off for the last few weeks; so seems the UK has stolen our snow and given us their rain instead!

Sure hope it warms up in Florida in time for dec 29 when we debark for WDW for five days....Floridians, what is the norm temp for end of December these days? I'm guessing the average monthly temps on the weather sites are bunk

Happy weekend! Off to game DD's hockey game this morning and then home to tape and address FE box so we can ship it when we head out to DD afternoon's hockey game.

Hope to get the last of my shopping done today as well so that as the next week and a half get busier with Christmas activities we can focus on getting through to leaving!:thumbsup2

Stay warm!
Tracey

Not sure if you still have enough time to do this, but I ordered all my princess dresses from Amazon. I got Ariel, Belle, Aurora, Tinker Bell, Alice in Wonderland, Cinderella, Tiana, Snow White, and Rapunzel--total cost was $186, including shipping.

Those 9 outfits, plus a pirate costume and a Christmas formal and my DD5 princess: is covered!

I am sorry to tell you, that the temps can run up and down. You just never know! We have had some really cold New Year's Eves at Epcot, let me tell yhou!

Speaking of cold weather, last year we sailed on the Christmas sailing of the Magic and the day of embarkation was brutal in Cocoa Beach! :scared1: It was the 19th of December and the wind was fierce! We were all bundled up in winter clothes and coats! Thankfully once we got down into the Caribbean the weather was perfect...
