If you look at the thread posted earlier, I get the feeling that it is thoroughly come-one-come-all in terms of skill levels. I am hoping to jog it all, but am admittedly not in the shape I'd like to be for it. I won't be breaking any land speed records! I'm just excited to be able to say I ran the CC5K! Won't mean anything to anyone around here (home) but I'LL know!

Let's do it together! We can bring up the rear of the pack. We can go straight from the finish line to the bar.

It would be great to go shopping and wandering with you. Most shops close around 1 in the afternoon so the shopkeepers can go to lunch, nap, etc. Like a siesta. So you would probably be able to go exploring with us in the morning. We are planning on getting off the boat as soon as we can. Later in the afternoon I want to find a park. I'm hoping Agnes will meet some local kids she can play with for a little while.

I'm not sure if this helps the non-crafty-no-extra-time people (like me) but we bought this stocking at the store Tuesday Morning for $12 and then the kids just used some glitter glue to write our names on it. I know they had many different ones. It is good quality. Has 3 pockets on the front and the main pocket up top. They are also on sale at Steinmart (kinda like a Kohls) if you have one of those. Here's what mine looks like. It's presentable enough for us.

Just wondered what everyone is doing in terms of getting euros for the trip?

I think I read many pages back someone saying that you could get them onboard. Can anyone confirm this?

If you are getting them before you go, where are you getting them? When I asked at my bank's branch they were not sure they could do this (though they had a looping video display saying they could!!!). I didn't have time to wait for the customer service person to ask more details. I guess I should go back and look into it again.

Also, not to be nosey, but how much is appropriate? Will I have to pay for everything on Martinique and Guadeloupe with euros or should I still be able to use my cc for larger purchases?

Hi Kimberly! That was me! I'm not sure about the southern caribbean (although I don't see why it would be different) but on the Med cruise, we just bought the Euros on board at the customer service desk. Keep your receipt because you are able to sell them back at the same rate - no charge- if you don't use them. That was the best part for us. And it's very convenient.

I purchased the Santa stocking from Tuesday Morn, but also ordered a FE from ebay. Well, the cute embroidered FE is tiny! I am adding our last name to the big Santa stocking to use instead. Yours looks great!

I was really hoping to see Tron onboard since the premiere is 12/17.
I don't have a daughter, so it would have been a stretch to make the boys see Tangled with me. Now I can go with some disers!

I found my French phrasebook for travelers on Sunday! Last time I used it was my senior year of high school.....it's a wonder I still have it- let alone found it!

I missed out on the "Getting to KNow you" posts cause I was struggling to keep up at the time, but better late than never!

I'm Lori (or Rick)- we both post with this account- but if it's chatty or has names in it it's usually Lori posting.

Rick and I moved from New Orleans to Orlando in Feb. We lived in NOLA for 10 years and love it- but love it more no longer living there. Yes, we stayed through Katrina. Yes, it was scary. We used to have a couple of stores in the French Quarter (hence the embroidery machine and button maker and beads!)

We both grew up in the midwest. Me, right outside of Louisville, KY and Rick in Cinncinati. Rick has a son who got married a little over a year ago.

I am skipping my 20 year HS reunion, which is coming up fast. Rick has a birthday this Saturday.

We work together most of the time and are almost always on the road (we are driving down I-65 now). We do contract auditing especially in utilities.

Rick is addicted to 24hr news channels and radio- left, right, center, BBC, doesn't matter. It drives me nuts.

I'm a reader and a crafter. Trying to get motivated to try scrapbooking. Hasn't happened yet.
