Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) - PART II

1st vacation packing panic averted ..... underwater camera housing located.:dance3:

ugh! I just got a PM from Connie (cquick)...they got left off of the fish list. I never got their PM and totally missed their post on the board :sad2: am feeling absolutely sick about it! Please add them to your list (cquick cabin# 6654)- I am updating the listing online right after posting this. Not sure if there are kids in the cabin but I will let you know once I hear back.
If you are short on time, money or materials please reassign my cabin's gift to them. So very sorry everyone and sorry to Connie :guilty: for missing that

"When boarding the ship on Embarkation Day, both children and parents must check in at the front desk at Disney's Oceaneer Lab, on Deck 5, Midship. During this confirmation process, parents will fill out final paperwork and receive a Wave Phone in the event the counselors need to make contact. Additionally, children will receive a wristband indicating that that they are part of Disney's Oceaneer Lab."

Of course, both mentions in the search parameters were for the Dream and the Fantasy. Looks like you might have gotten a new document booklet :)

I added. I've also still got 6 on my list with no cabin #s. Will you be telling us those as you get them?

20 lashes with a wet noodle :) j/k it's no biggie to add one more cabin. You have done an amazing job keeping up the list. Thanks again

Yes am going to send out PM's tonight to those I still need cabin #'s from so that we can hopefully get the rest of the blanks filled in

Does anyone know if you can prepay part of your onboard account online? I have some rebate and gift cards I've been saving up for the trip and instead of having to carry them all down to guest services throughout the trip, I'd love to go ahead and apply them to my onboard account before we leave. I know we'll spend at least as much as what I have!

someone probably already answered this one,but I think you should carry your rebate and gift cards to guest services. They should be able to handle all of them at once.

if this is wrong, someone else will let us know:goodvibes

Someone had a question earlier about whether we were going to have assigned days to do our deliveries. If possible could we please not have assigned days to do the FE's? I'm just thinking that all of us are going to find things we want to do with our families and if it happened to be that our assigned day was one where we had a lot of things planned, the FE could become a stress point and take some of the fun out of it.
.

If it is decided to do "assigned days" I am very sorry, but I won't be delivering on my "assigned day". I am not that organized! So, you WILL get a gift, but it will be a surprise as to what daY!

Hello again! I feel like I've taken over the board the past couple of days!

I am just curious what other Xmas Magic cruisers are doing when we get to Martinique. We haven't really planned anything but we are thinking about spending the day in town SHOPPING!! I absolutely love shopping in France and I've been told that Martinique & Guadalupe are just like being in France except warmer!

We will be in port on Xmas eve day so it could be fun to pick up some gifts. Plus, I'm really hoping to get some stinky cheese, yummy bread, and some cheap bottles of fantastic wine to bring back onboard.

What are the rest of you going to be doing?

~Michelle

Man, I go away for 5 days from the DIS Boards and I had to read 20 pages to catch up! Sheesh we are a busy bunch!

We got our docs and I pre-paid the gratuities today. Yay. Our pillowcases arrived too, so we are ALL set save the packing! Woo Hoo, now I feel as if I can relax a bit.

I'm truly saddened that I missed out on the shirts! I'm not the craftiest so I'm not sure if I can make one.
@Lori - Could you please add me to the growing list of buttons, please?

Little about our family;
I am in my late 40s, and a widow. My husband passed away 3 years ago from cancer. He was a HUGE Disney fan and so we decided to honor his memory by taking our first Disney Cruise last summer. Well, now we are hooked! We will now try to do an annual cruise for the rest of our lives! I am NOT into the parks as much as the kids but I have found my niche in cruises which I never had a desire to take before because I thought they would be boring!

My husband and I were both born in south Florida, transferred a LOT with Bellsouth Mobility/Cingular/ATT Wireless. We are now located in Louisiana just outside of New Orleans and I am a SAHM, have been for about 13 years.

I have a degree in Computers and help out at the kid's school a lot. I teach Sunday school to 3 year olds and I adore the sweetness of that age. They are so precious! I am a Catholic but now attend a Methodist church locally for the children's program.

We are very much looking forward to this Cruise, and are already in booking mode for the next one! I REALLY want to book on the Dream, but will most likely book which ever ship is doing the Christmas cruise next year.

~Lorrie

Just thought id add to the info of our family.
We are originally from Plymouth where the Mayflower left and my grandad was Lord Mayor of Plymouth in1986.
We left 2 years ago to move to where we are now.
When I read all your icebreakers to mum she thought it would be interesting to add this.

Thought id make it to my 100th post
What is everyone doing for presents on christmas day?
I have told my kids they get one gift from me and one from santa (i have a 3 year old).
I am giving them a hundred dollar bill (for my ds 13 and ds 10) to spend on our last week in Orlando after the cruise.
I think this is a good idea as they can then look forward to buying whatever they choose and I dont have to worry about sneaking it onboard in a case.
I found on our 1st christmas cruise that if I give them many presents they wont play with them as they are too interested in the onboard activities.

I am buying them arcade cards filled, and disney gift cards to spend in the gift shop on the ship and/or at the parks. That's it! I told them already that Santa will leave some when we get back. (My 12 year old son is developmentally delayed and still believes as does my 11 year old daughter, because she doesn't want to let go just yet! I told her it's OK if you don't believe, you still get gifts but she SWEARS she does.)
