I love all the talk about lists. Over the years I have converted my DH to become a list man. I now even have both kids writing lists, it is contagious at our house. But I couldn't live without them.

Right now we are using our packing lists to do a mock pack so we know what needs to go to FL with grandpa and grandma when they leave this weekend for the winter. Much easier than taking extra bags!

We too are getting excited and few conversations in our house some how come back to the crusie.

My dad was in the Air Force for 20 years and my mom loves little ones so I will tell them to keep an eye out for you guys.

That is great your parents are going with you. DH was in the USAF too. He did 11 years active and at 16 now in the Reserves. I am sure he would like to chat with your Dad.

It seems like there are a few Military folks here on the board. I am trying to get DH to bring his Dress Blues for formal night, but he said he was on vacation.

Wow, this is getting very exciting! I can hardly concentrate on my work with all the new posts. Congrats to all the upgrades! I need to remember that for future cruises, although I know you can't count on it.

For the split/no-split FE vote: Why don't we divide into 2 groups, but the folks who want no-split just go into both groups? That way they would give to everyone, and receive from everyone. The split groups would be slightly bigger than half - maybe 38 instead of 30, but at least it wouldn't be 60+. Then everyone would get what they want!

My DH voted for me, so don't think I get my own vote (unless I cancel his out - just like many elections!

Can someone send the link to the door magnet site? I looked all over the main DISboard site but couldn't find it.

Looking forward to the wine tasting, CC5K, Palo, dressing as a Villan (how??), and ornament exchange! Looking forward to everything!

I think it is according to your comfort level. I have BBQMommy on mine. I am one of those who limits the amount of 'named' things as far as my daughter is concerned.

Wow, this thread is hopping so I had some catching up to do. I have been spending my downtime reading Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows. I want to finish it before I see the movie in a few weeks.

I love the pictures, Lori and Rick. I cannot wait to see her NEXT MONTH!

LeiLani, DWTS is a major crisis. I cannot believe Bristol is still dancing, and two fairly good dancers got the boot. But I really enjoyed the 200th show.

We finally received confirmation from DCL for our Private Wine Tasting event. It will be Monday, Dec 20th from 1-2pm. I don't know where it will be yet(assuming Sessions) but I will find out for us.

Thanks for doing this. The time works! We have our Rasul at 2, so my DH will be already for our hot and steamy time in the chambers. I will have to make sure that he drinks plenty of water.

It really can be however you want to do it. It can be done like a secret santa with no name at all, it can have your family name and/or DIS name, or it can just have your cabin number on it. It's whatever you want to do.

It is great that my parents are going along.(I think there are a few parents on this cruise) I am an only child so my kids are the only grandchildren and my mom has been fighting ovarian cancer for 6 years now, so her and my dad travel with us when they can. I really appreciate the time we get to spend with them.

Lisa - that was a shocker last night. I thought for sure Bristol was going home. It was a good show but I thought it was funny that Kelly and Giles(sp?) did not give their dancers a 10. Kinda harsh. Did you see the previews for "Skating with the Stars"? That might be kind of interesting.

I discovered binders got too full, so I (most recently) have graduated to an expandable file folder unit with enough pockets for the number of days of the cruise, plus travel and planning pockets. I put the info for each day (port info, reservations, etc) in each pocket BEFORE the trip so I know where to find them. Then, as we enjoy our cruise each day, I tuck the daily navigator, excursion ticket stubs, photos from Shutters, notes, other treasures into that day's pocket. When I get home, everything is organized and ready to be scrapbooked!

Now if only I could find someone to actually move all that stuff INTO scrapbooks.......

I am highly impressed! I have never thought of doing this.

Like most of you... I am a list maker. Without my 'list' I would never remember to do anything. For the trip I seem to have a lot of list going on: a need-to-buy list, a packing list, birthday list, Christmas list & my spreed sheet with all our cruise plans. I think because we are surprising the kids I have more lists going...trying to keep from forgetting anything to important. Normally my oldest DD is my back up memory. lol

Ok, as I am clearly unable to make door magnets, and DH (also Army) is busy moving for the second time since I've deployed (thank you very much, Uncle Sam!).....Is there anywhere that I can purchase them? I am particularly looking for the mickey ears over the door number, and a few cruise specific decorations. I have exhausted all known search engines to no avail.

Any ideas??
