Hi, I think I was lucky enough to grab a secret balcony cabin. Does anyone know this for sure, and is it a good cabin? Also, does it hold a 4rth person? There are only 3 of us going, all adults, but my mom might want to tag along.

Thanks!

Wow! I never knew about that room!! I did google it though and found this:

My mom and I have stayed in room 7620 (the same type of room) twice and are staying there again this summer. We really like the open verandah. Thee is a small part in the upper corner that is obstructed because of the ships hull but nothing to worry about. The relatively small obstruction is worth the open verandah and the lower price in our opinion.

We stayed in this cabin last year but it was on the Wonder.
I am pretty sure the layout is the same on both ships, if not I am sure someone will say.

It only sleeps 3, sorry.

Do you get to chose which rooms you want to stay in? (i'm new to the cruising board)

If they are available when you cruise and you don't do the "guarantee" thing which is a cheaper way to go.

You can do either, if there is a specific deck or location on the ship that you want, you can choose a specific stateroom, if its available.

If you don't care which deck and just want a particular category, then you can request a guarantee. Which means, that you are guaranteed at least that category cabin, but no guarantee as to where it is on the ship.

Don't know which is cheaper. Just remember that you should book what you will be happy with.

Thanks for all your replys! We aren't going until Aug. 29th, 2009. We were booked on the Magic for the special 5 nite this Sept., from an onboard booking on the Wonder last May. I had to change it until 2009 because we got an offer from my sister to join them in Hilton Head at their Marriot timeshare, for free! So I seen the price on this one, and when I was talking to the DCL rep., I asked her if any of these cabins were available, and it was. Our 1st DCL cruise last yr, we had one of the secret balcony cabins, someone let it go at the last minute and I grabbed it.

For those of you who don't know, *****************, gives alot of info. The secret balcony cabins are Cat.6 that they changed to Cat.7. On the Magic, the #'s are 7620,6634,7120,6134, that I know of. I'm sure more people have alot more info then I do. I found most of my info from this board.

I just wish my DH was excited about Disney as I am. We took our DD, who is now 33, but very mentally challenged, on the Wonder last yr. It was so much less stressful then Disney World, the yr. before. The cruise would be perfect if only they would have some activities that were directed to adults with disabilities, mentally or physically. I did see quite a few onboard last yr. Although most castmembers did treat her special, she didn't light up until she seen the characters.

Sorry this was so long. Sometimes I just need to voice my opinion.

My parents and I were in 7620 on the Magic in December. FABULOUS stateroom! Only slept 3, however. So if your mom joins, you'll have to change stateroom category. The obstruction from the hull is pretty minimal. We had no problem with it.

My mom & dad had 7620 and we had 7622 on our last cruise. Best of both worlds!

Thanks to this thread, I just changed my booking for 6/20/2009 to 7620! (we were right next door in 7622) I love the fact that the Muster Drill location is Animators Pallette!

You guys were also lucky to grab one of the "secret balcony" cabins. There are also "secret porthole" ones as well. I'm not sure what those #'s are. I think the price of them are the price of a higher Cat. inside.

I just hate that we have to wait another 16 months!
