If staying on site (and living in U.S.) they will send you magic bands to you a few weeks before your stay. Be sure to customize them on MDE. Guests who live outside of the US will have to pick up their magic bands at the resort.

if you are staying on property and live in the US, you can have your MB mailed to you, regardless of your ticket purchase.

You will only receive complimentary MagicBands if you are staying onsite. It makes no difference how or where you get your tickets.

If you are not staying at a Disney resort, you can purchase MagicBands, either in advance online from the Disney Store or when you arrive at the parks or Disney Springs.

We are staying onsite! So they will just mail them to us? Or do I need to call?

Do you have a My Disney Experience account? If not, create one!

Your resort reservation will be linked, and that will open the option to customize your MagicBands -- choose the color and name for each person, up to 30 days before your trip. Then they will ship them to you.

You will link your UT tickets to your MDE account also, and then the bands will work to access that information when you enter the park.
