Magic Bands WWYD?

I just went to (finally) purchase magic bands because we are staying at Dolphin in December. All but orange are sold out on the plain colors. Would you wait until you arrive to purchase them? Do you think they will re-stock, or just force non-site guests to buy more expensive bands? We are a family of four, so I think $80 in Magic Bands is a bit much. Thanks!

I'd wait until you arrive. If the plain color ones are in stock, it will only take a minute to link them and be on your way. If they are not, you can pick out cool ones -- or even go to the store in Tomorrowland and design your own!

You know the bands are not required, right? You don't have to buy them at all. I'd wait until you get there and only buy the ones you like.

Hmmm. Well, I can add them to my cart and proceed to check-out without any problems. Just tried it.

ETA: This is the Shop Parks app not the online store. All but plain ones but orange *are* sold out at DisneyStore.com but you can buy them with free shipping via the app.

Yes, I may try during lunch...was just hoping my kids wouldn't see the app on my phone (surprise trip, and they play games on my phone sometimes).

You can design your own in Tomorrowland? Can you put on Disney characters? I would love me a Jiminy Cricket band.
