Magic Bands with split stay

We currently have a split stay (same resort but switching room category/view through DVC) for May. MDE shows two sets of Magic Bands for us to customize.. Will we really receive two bands for each of us and which band should we be using for the day we check-out of our first room and check-in to the other? I just want to make sure we schedule our FP+ correctly as this is our first trip with Magic Bands. Thank you!

Yes and you can use either/both interchangeably.

We also did a split stay in Dec, 2 separate DVC resorts..
Received 2 sets of customized bands and we used them interchangeably!

You will receive both sets. You can use them interchangeably (as stated by previous posters) but check your My Disney Experience information and make sure that both Magicbands are showing as "Active". You can either use the app or go on the computer. Log into MDE and go to my MagicBands and Cards. It will show you all of the MBs that you and your party have, then just click on them both and make sure they say "active", they can both be active at the same time, and then you can use them both interchangeably with no worries. If you can't figure out how to do it on your own- when you check in you can ask the front desk worker to make sure they are active/ activate them for you !!!

We are waitlisted to stay in the same room so if that comes through and we don't end up having a split stay, will we just receive the set of bands associated with the first reservation? We just customized both sets...first choice of color/name for the bands for the first part of our reservation and second choice of bands for the second part of our reservation. I just want to make sure we receive the correct ones if the split stay goes away. Thanks!

It won't matter. If you get the bands and then cancel a reservation, the bands will still be on your account. And the bands will link back to the account, where all the info is, and will work.
