Magic Bands/MDE Question

We (Me, DH, 2 kids) are staying at VGF in April at the start of our trip. Then we are moving off-site for the rest of our trip. DH's cousin is coming and staying off site as well, however she is contemplating coming a day early and staying with us at VGF. She might not decide until last minute (oh to be young and free...). So, can I add her to our reservation, and get her a Magic Band through our reservation so that if she does come, she is all set, and if she decides not to last minute and she comes the next day after we check out, I can just give her her band when I see her?

The last time we were there was about a month before magic bands came out, so I have read a ton, but when it comes to actually doing it I am nervous I am going to screw it up

If you're not planning to be on the dining plan, then it's not a problem.

Edited to add: if you want her band mailed to you, then add her on before they ship. If you add her later, it'll be shipped to the resort.
