magic bands getting linked to park tickets ???

Since we decided to go to Disney World last minute, we were unable to purchase a Disney package deal. We are staying at a Disney World resort property and will be checking in the evening before we go to the parks.

We purchased our Disney World tickets ON the Disney site and everything is linked on our 'My Disney Experience' (tickets, resort reservation, dinning reservations, FP+ is all linked properly)

When we purchased our tickets, it stated that we needed to 'pick them up' at a Disney ticketing location. BUT, since we are staying at a Disney Hotel, do the tickets become 'activated' at our check in? Or can we at least get them activated at the hotel someplace? Or do we still have to plan to get them activated at one of the ticketing locations at a park on the first day we use them?

If you get a MagicBand at the resort, (and/or already have MBs from an earlier trip or purchase) you don't need "tickets" at all.

Your MBs (if connected to your MDE account) will automatically link to your ticket information which is in your MDE file.

Tickets purchased NOT as part of a WDW "Package" are active as soon as they appear listed in your MDE account and can be used at any time, regardless of resort check-in.

Your tickets are already active and you can book your FPs. When you pick up your MagicBands, you'll be able to enter parks by scanning your MBs. No need to do anything else.

WONDERFUL!!! I was concerned that we had to waste time in a ticket line some where. Disney is so awesome! We have our magic bands and everything is linked to them that we have scheduled/reservations and tickets...so it sounds like we're good to go!
