Not sure if anyone has this info, but...

We are at WDW from Oct 12-18. We are resort hopping and our last stop is one night on the 17th at the Beach Club. We have been selected for Magic Bands as that is one of the resorts testing. My question is that since we will have the MagicBands before we come down, can we activate or use them before our last day. We aren't even planning to go to the park that day, which means we wouldn't be using them for anything but room keys, but would love to try out FastPass+ on our earlier park days...

Anyone faced this / know the answer? I'm a little worried to call Disney directly as they might just cancel our test since we won't really be doing much...

I read on another thread a couple of days ago that someone was able to use their MBs before they checked into a "test" resort.

The MB worked for park entry, and then they went to Guest Relations and had them schedule their FP+s for the day. They did have to visit Guest Relations each morning before they checked into the "test" resort, because they were not able to schedule multiple days at a time, they could only make reservations for that day.

If someone else remembers reading this and would like to chime in, I'd love more input.

You can select FP+ well in advance of arrival for your entire stay. You do need to have the bands activated, either at Guest Relations or your Resort before entering Parks. I believe that they will not be active until you are checked in to your test resort.
