I've read a number of posts on this, but I think I may have a simpler question. I ordered a handful of Magic Bands 2 for our upcoming trip. I ordered them around March or April of 2017, with our trip coming up in October. I'm assuming based on that, the batteries will still be alive/active. But I want to make sure I don't miss out on the ride photos/videos, etc, that use the long range RFID. Is there a way to see on the packaging or the band itself when they were made?

2.5-3.5 years.

Similar question- I have several magic bands for members if my family. Some are recent (August 2017) some are old (April 2015). What are the chances the old ones still work? I've heard the battery doesn't last too long. If I add a ticket to it will my son run into trouble going into the parks?
