Magic Bands as Room Keys

Just a quick question on MagicBands. We've had and used them lots of times before, no problems. But, we've always just used the ones Disney sent us as part of our package. For this next trip, I was going to order one of the cool Haunted Mansion ones for my son. I know how to link it to MDE for the tickets and charging and all of that. But, I was wondering about how it works as a room key. We are doing a split stay. So, if I link his special ordered band to my MDE account, will it automatically work as a room key at both resorts, since both resort stays show up in MDE? Thanks!

Yup.

It's always a good idea to present the Magic Band at the front desk of your resort when you check in. That way, there's no surprise if you get to your room and all of the NB's don't work.

I was texted my room number, my old Haunted Mansion band opened hotel gate and hotel room. Never saw front desk or lobby. Never pulled MB out of the box that were sent. Yes sometimes you do have to go to desk for them to sync but point is YES it will work.

I was a little worried about this as well. On my last trip, my MNSSHP MB stopped working and I was locked out of my room as I didn't have another one on me. It was a mess.
