I am staying at Pop on a room only reservation starting August 17, and I was able to custimize my Magic Bands today. I am an AP (voucher) holder and I have NOT linked my tickets on the website, but it appears that if I do, I will be able to make FP+ selections.
The thing is, Pop is at the end of a split stay for us and I have 2 concerns:
(1) will my Magic Bands make it to me before we leave on August 10? If they don't, and arrive while we are away, how much will that mess up our tickets/reservations?
and
(2) If I link my AP voucher number, will that impact our ability to pull regular FP's on the first half of our trip? Or, heaven forbid, will that ACTIVATE my AP's now? It shouldn't, I know, but....
This is a similar issue for me. I am an AP (voucher) holder as well and have an offsite trip planned for November. I'm not activating until we arrive, but worry that FP+ will already be in use. Since Disney will not even know I have a trip planned (offsite), how will I access FP+ or customize magic bands for my APs unless I link them? But I have the same concerns about linking them and possibly having a negative impact. Not to even mention that a CM tried to link them for me a month ago and wasn't able to. Apparently, the green "exchange certificates" we received do not have the standard code/numbers or something???? He ended up just putting some generic code in my acct. to add annual passholder to my MDE profile so that I can see AP info.
