Hi,

Have Magic Bands changed the ease at which you can send purchases back to your resort? In the past, you had to fill out paperwork with your name, hotel, etc. that they would then staple to your shopping bag. I was hoping that with Magic Bands this could be eliminated since all of that information is stored. It seems like you could just scan your band instead of manually filling out a form and then scan your band again upon pickup at your resort.

TIA!

That's would be awesome, but was not the case in my most recent trip in late February. Still had to fill out the green form every time.... :/

Here now, and still filling out the green sheet! But loving that we don't have to carry packages all over the parks.

Still have to fill out the paperwork. My husband bought me the HM Candlestick and Hourglass at Mouse Gear in Epcot and had it sent back to our resort. Big Mistake. By the time we got it, both items were broken. So if you are buying anything fragile, you would be better off keeping it with you.

** I would like to note, that I did return the items and they replaced them. Our hotel (CR) did not have any of the HM items in stock, so I went directly to Yankee Trader in the MK. It was a bit of a production as the CM was new and had to call his supervisor twice, but in the end all was made right and I had my broken items replaced.
I guess the proper procedure is to go to hotel gift shop were the items delivered to and they are supposed to get the replacement items for you. But we were leaving in two days and I didn't want to chance not getting my items in time, so that is why I went to the MK.

Bummer! I've always thought having to fill out the paperwork was such an archaic method. I guess they managed to expedite the ease in buying something, just not getting it ;)

I do love that they offer the shipping back to your resort and am thankful I don't have to lug my purchases around the parks, but I do wish they'd take advantage of the technology they have. At the very least, you should be able to scan your band, have them print out a sheet with your info for you to confirm and sign, then attach that to the bag. Would cut down on time by a few minutes.

Thanks all for the info!

I was also surprised that they could not scan my MagicBand at Resort Pick-up.:)

I had to have Photo ID or the Green Sheet.:)

We have not been since 2005, but I thought back then our purchases made in the parks were delivered straight to our room. Has this changed and we will now need to pick them up somewhere in our hotel? We leave in 28 days!

You have to pick up the package at the resort gift shop.

I imagine this is something that will change eventually. They obviously have your home address and resort info, so it makes sense that they will do this at some point.

I hope it's sooner rather than later.

I believe if you are staying club level, they will deliver them to the room.
