Magic Bands and FP+ open for December check ins

Just to let everyone know. I didn't see anything about this yet over here.

If you're within 60 days out, complete the online check in and the magic band option should show up. Or modify if you've already done it, then it should pop up.

Yes, we check in on Dec. 15, and I was able to make fast pass + selections today too. I didn't do any yet though. I still don't know what park we will visit in a day!

Thank you I wasn't sure how MB worked for us DVCers. If you already have paper tickets, did you link them?

Thank you Amy!! I did my online check in and was able to choose Magic Bands!! I kept checking, hoping I'd get a pop-up, and then I was getting disappointed reading that it was possible that December reservations wouldn't be getting Magic Bands. I'm happy now!!

I don't have an active park ticket at the moment, so I won't be able to do FP+ before our trip, but that's okay! We'll be buying the Military Salute tickets when we get there, and most likely I will upgrade mine to an AP. Not sure what DH will do yet.

I've only heard of 3 FP per day. That's what it was for October and November trips anyway.

When people get 4, it's because it's a bonus FP+ at MK only.

Being a DVC Member does not have any impact on MagicBands. As far as tickets go, you need to link them to your MDX profile if you want to make FP+ selections or use your MagicBand for park entry.

I've only ever gotten three choices. I know some people reported they got the bonus one.

If you see limited times available, keep checking. Because I know for October it was limited and then they seemed to open a bunch more times up as it got closer.

Same with shows/parades. Those will probably be available as it gets closer.

Well here is a new glitch in the system.

We have stays booked for check-in dates 12/11/13, 12/23/13, 1/4/14, and 3/9/14. There is no link on the MDE site for me to do online check-in for the 12/11/13 trip. It was there once, but gone now.

I went to the MB page and yes I could choose a MB. It said I had 111 days to customize by 2/6/14, which would be for the 3/9/14 stay. No options for the 3 stays before it. It also only gave me the gray color, no other color choices.

I am at AKV now finishing up a split stay (BWV) for F&W, so I already have 2 colored MB.

I guess I will give it a few days and see if MDE corrects itself.

If you select 'My Reservations', there will be a 'View Details' link under each of the room reservations. If you click on that and you are within 60 days of arrival, there will be a link to check-in (or change check-in) in the upper right hand corner of the box that's displayed.

Yeah, I went to the DVC sight and the link was there. Then I went back to MDE and the link was back again on the My Reservations page.

Although it should not be required, some have had to complete (or redo) the on-line check-in process in order to customize MagicBands. I don't recall seeing any posts where people said they had to do on-line check-in to make FP+ selections.

Today I purchased their passes online and at the time the agent I spoke with said to use the confirmation code to link them to our magic bands. Unfortunately, MDE doesn't allow me to do that. When I try, it says they are already linked, but they don't show up in "my tickets". Now what?

It probably says they are linked because you were logged on when you purchased them. As to where they are so you can assign them to the correct individuals profile, I have no idea.
