Magic Bands and Fastpass+ sorted!

I've just made all of my Fastpass+ selections and customised out bands I was dying to get home today so I could get started with my selections!! I think the system is a bit fiddly, I wish it would let you select the times you want straight away rather than let them choose the times and then edit it afterwards. I've chosen the parks with early morning EMH so that we can get in early and get stuff done before the crowds hit, with the new system though it sort of takes that stress away and makes me wonder if I should have chosen other parks so that we wouldn't have to get up so early Decisions decisions!!

Is it 60 days before that you can select FP+ and customise?

Or is it like dining being 180+10 - is it 60+10?

I didn't get my tickets until today so wasn't able to before because of this, I think it was available before 60 days though as the option was there and when I clicked on it, it said that I couldn't as I didn't have tickets.

It sounds like Disney is starting to send out surveys to guests once they have used the MB's and FP+ so make a note of what you do and don't like about it so you can add your comments.

We are staying on site next year again so am I correct in thinking that when I buy our park tickets and add / link them to our magic experience online , we will be able to select our FP+ selections and then request our MB etc ???

Well at present if you book a package your tickets and resort ressie automatically link up on MDE. It can take a couple of days but it's all there. If you buy your tickets separately you have to manually link them, but someone who has done this would be better placed to advise you.

We don't know how far out we can make FP+ reservations next year but at the moment it sounds like they are thinking 60 days out. Time will tell and you'll be in good company when that happens

I rang earlier and was told 60 days. Just 40 more days for us. You can personalise the bands earlier though from what I am reading in the main board.

People seem to be told a lot by CMs though. I have read that people can't do anything till they have paid in full as well. But who knows if you ask Disney they will just tell you they are still testing at the moment so I think we all have to sit tight and wait really x

That is not likely to affect us much as our terms are payment in full 56 days before departure and most don't leave it to the last day.

Bookings through the US site have much less restrictive conditions and payment is due closer to the time, with room only bookings only being due by check in (cancellation for packages is 45 days before checkin to avoid penalty and not lose your deposit). I think they have done this to prevent 'ghost' bookings by people who book for MB's and then cancel and stay elsewhere. Not really easy to do from here so less of an issue

I know that and know that it's a rumour any way as many guests have said they have only paid deposits and have booked their bands and Fastpass+ I am just saying if you ring disney they may just try and fob you off with any excuse as I expect they get thousands of people ring every day asking why they can't book their fast pass + at 6 months or more. As they are still officially testing. I can't do my bands yet but I'm not worried about it the trip is ages away. (100 days) I will worry about it at 30 days if I still can't do anything. We are going in low season any way. We went the exact same two weeks this year and used 1 fast pass the entire fort night.

And sorry I am one of those people that will pay on the last week. I would rather that money sat in my bank then in disneys.

If you buy Disney Ultimate Tickets separately you cannot link them as the 12 digit reference is not recognised by the system. Therefore you cannot book FastPass +

After a few phone calls to Disney, explaining that as DVC members we have to buy park tickets separately and are therefore being disadvantaged compared to US DVC members, I was passed to a very nice cast member who promised to try and resolve this issue. After about 10 days I received an e-mail saying the tickets were finally linked and that we could now make our FastPass + reservations.

My thinking exactly I would rather earn interest on that 2,500 then Disney lol!

We go January 30th. We went January 31st this year it was nice to have something to look forward to after Christmas.

If i purchase my 14 day ultimate ticket direct from disney will this link to my disney experience account ok? It says an e ticket will be issued, a paper ticket is an extra £5. We travel 29th march 2014 when would they send us the tickets?
