Magic Bands 101

Can someone please tell me, my sister and I are travelling together in March, can I make different fastpass+ bookings for me and for her? Eg she doesn't want to ride space mountain, but I do :)

Yes.

ok this may have been asked before but just started thinking of throwing trip together and need to catch up if we book a 1 night stay but have 5 day park tickets does the magic band still work after we check out as our park tickets?
we have family with a timeshare we will be staying with but need to make up a day before they get there.

Question....Sunday was our last day to customize our magic bands. Now it says they're processing the order. When should I expect them and how do they arrive? (Fed ex, ups, usps?) thanks!

Our last day to customize was last Thursday and Friday (split stay so 2 sets). They arrived yesterday at 10:30 AM via UPS.

DH and I are AP's and tried Magic Bands for the first time prior to our passes expiring in December. We have since renewed our AP's and have a trip coming up next month (on-site). We have booked our room and will be receiving our new set of magic bands for this visit sometime shortly. I have read elsewhere on the boards that the previous Magic Bands will still work and you are able to use both sets if you so choose. Is this still the case if the previous Magic Band is attached to our old/expired AP? Like previously stated, we have renewed our AP's prior to them even expiring, and will be exchanging in the voucher on this visit. I am aware that the bands just read our My Disney Experience account, so I am assuming is SHOULD work but I would just like some confirmation

Also, I have a friend who is a new Florida Resident AP who thus far has only stayed off-site She is wanting to book on-site to try out the Magic Bands and asking for information/advice. Is it true that even if she does not stay on-site again after this one visit on-site, she will still be able to use the magic bands and book FP+ in advance for future off-site trips since she is an AP? Will that ability expire once her AP expires, or will she be able to continue using that band when she renews their AP? I guess it is a similar question to my own situation, and as I was giving advice I began to question myself...:scratchin

Thank you in advance! :worship:

I have a MB but my friend does not. Say I want to book a stay at the campsites just to get one. *** on as it arrives, can we link the Mb to her AP then use it that day? Or do was have to at least wait until check in day

Not quite sure what your asking, but you should be able to link her AP to the magic band and be able to pre-book FP+.

We are also florida residents with annual passes, we stayed one night on-site in december, got our magicbands and we were able to use them before our on-site stay. We still use them instead of our cards, and we are able to book fp+ for up to 7 days in advance.

edit: in the my disney experience there is a section for tickets and bands ( or something to that effect) where it shows what ticket is linked to which person and which bands are linked to each person.

I think it would have to be reserved in her name and not yours...since the MB is linked to the person on the reservation?

Sorry. What I meant was

If I book a campground so I can get a magic band. Will I be able to use it as soon as I get it? Even if I never check in?

Yes. The magic band is "active" as soon as you receive it. There have been reports about MB's being "deactivated", haven't heard what happens if you never check in...

Do you carry the magic bands in your carry on?? Didnt know if going through security messes with them at all?

Hello,

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I could not find a similar question via a search. Yesterday I made a room only reservation at the Beach Club (FIRST TIME STAYING THERE :yay:) After linking the reservation number to MDE, a message come up at the top of the reservation saying something to the effect of "Good news, you magicbands will be waiting for you upon check-in at your resort". Is this correct and if so, why are they not being mailed to us?

Thanks!
