Magic band vs. plastic card

As Disney has phased out complimentary Magic Bands for on-site guests, I was wondering what happens if the plastic card is lost and needs replacement? Is there a cost? Would you just go to your resort front desk and/or Guest Services at a park?

Personally I think the Magic Band is more appropriate for my comfort level just so I know I won't lose that elusive plastic card whether it's out of my bag or my pocket.

If you have any of your old magic bands they will work. Take a picture of your plastic card and that way if you lose it no big deal and yes you can get it replaced. Make sure you link it to MDE.

Taking a picture is a great idea.

Even without a picture you can get a replacement card without any charge. Resort front desk an guest services in the park will help you.
