Magic Band reusable?

This may be a stupid question, but excuse me as I haven't really been reading this board much since the magic band came out.

We have our first visit since they came out in Oct. It is only for one night stay at AOA before head on a cruise, but I was wondering if the magic band is reusable for when we go back on a longer stay or do they send you a new one every time you visit?

They are reusable because when i called to get a quote for our next trip she asked about our bands and if we still had them because we can reuse them for our next trip. I don't want to tho because the last day the boys broke one of my fasteners off and only half stays on now. So I'll be asking for new bands.

They are resusable but they also send you new ones with each new reservation.

Yes they are reusable and interchangeable as long as they are not disconnected (by you) from your mydisneyexperience account.

Yes, right now they send a new set for each reservation you have.

I was on the phone with Disney customer service, asking about some dinner reservations I believe, and this same question came across my mind. The customer service rep said that the batteries in the Magic Bands will last 2 years. I was thinking of reusing mine, but when I first got them, I forgot to customize it so I was stuck with Steamboat Mickey Grey. I decided to get a blue one and my girlfriend decided to get a pink one. We aren't going until May so I don't think they will ship until mid-April.

To actually answer your question though, they are definitely reusable.

The battery is just used for the long range active radio. That long range radio has a 2 year expected life because the non-replaceable battery is likely to die in that time.

The short range radio doesn't use any external power source. It is powered by the reader it is held up to. This short range radio probably has an expected lifespan than can be measured in decades (as long as nothing physically damages the circuit). This is the radio used for things like park entry and FP+ return scanners.
