Magic Band question

We are getting close to our trip and I forgot to order magic bands. Is there a way to pick them up at the resort vs. having them shipped to us? I think there's a good chance they wouldn't make it in time. I can't find anywhere on the site to indicate we want to pick them up when we get to the resort.

If you order and they can't get them shipped in time, it will say that they will be waiting at the resort! I ordered my last ones only a few weeks out and was surprised to get them two days before.

Does it say that when you place the order? Before I started choosing them, it said to order within the next week to get them at the resort, but then when I clicked to complete the order, it showed they would be shipped to me. Shipping time is estimated at 3 weeks, so I don't think they will arrive on time.

I can not remember what it said when I ordered. I have to check on my trip in a month now that you mention it!

Do you have bands from a previous trip? If so, you can just use those and/or you can always buy some once you arrive on site. That will cost a bit more, but you'll have them.

We found a few old ones, but not many. I just went online to place an order for those not found, and happy to report it no longer shows they'll be shipped -- now states they'll be at the front desk of the resort. Glad I waited a few days and tried again. Thanks for your help!

I can not remember what it said when I ordered. I have to check on my trip in a month now that you mention it!

Just went through the process again, and now it says they'll be at the resort. Guess we had to get really close to our arrival date for it to default to that. Thanks for the help!

Great, I did get mine ordered for our June 7th trip and they shipped today. The only thing I wish they would allow is for you to buy them for part but not all of the group.

I do not need nor want any more magic bands but every time I go with new people, I have to buy one now!

I had that same problem but noticed on my next trip that I could decline on any one persons name that was on the reservation. We have one new guest going later this month and I was able to order a band for them and decline for the rest of us. Then it completed the order.

Where did it show up for you? I’ll have to look again because it would not let me complete.

ETA: It is there for my July trip! Yeah!

Be sure to consider that the batteries for the bands only last about 2 years. They still work for most functions, but not for things like triggering photos on rides.

Once you choose a name and your next step is to choose a band look right underneath the guest name and you can decline there.
