Magic band question

I was thinking of buying one of those magic bands on line for $24.99 and was wondering how you get them activated after you get them.

You add any magic bands you buy in your MDE account, it’s super easy once you add the band to your account you can use it to access your resort room, park tickets, etc.

You use the code on the inside of the band to link it to you on MDE.

Are you not going to stay at one of the Disney resorts? Because if you do, the Magicbands are free.

Sounds like OP wants a specialty magic band not just plain color which is what comes complimentary with a resort.

I am having problems with the Disney website. Keeps giving me error message when i click on review your order. Says try again later.

That has been happening for awhile.

Maybe try another browser? I just went onto the shopdisney.com site (using Firefox) and selected a Tinkerbell MB and saved to bag, went through the various steps all the way up to "submit order" and then I stopped as I don't really want a Tinkerbell MB.

I think I explained that incorrectly. I can order the extra magic band with no problem. On my MDE page it shows my magic bands and it says review your order and when you click on that you get an error message.

Since I have posted this I see on other threads that people are having the same problem and are having to call the Disney IT department. When the website was working I change my color of my magic band and now it shows the original color I ordered so I guess a phone call is in order.
