Magic Band Question

Are you able to link your park ticket to your magic band if you don't have a MDE account?

No, because everything gets linked to your Magic Band through your MDE account.

I am traveling with a group and most of them don't have MDE accounts - can they set them up once we check in and then link tickets to bands if they want too?

I have a MDE account with myself, husband, and 2 daughters on it. However for the upcoming trip we are in 3 different rooms. Is it better to put an entire room on one account - for instance one daughter will be rooming with her grandparents should she be on their MDE account or can I keep her on mine.

Each reservation automatically gets a mdd account if you don't have one. You have to activate the ressie on MDE though to get FP+ and such. Once you activate all three rooms you can link them and then it won't matter who your daughter is with. The exception with that seems to be mm. It seems to be room based and not party based, but I don't know enough about the issue to really comment.
