Magic band question..

Hi! I got our magic bands yesterday! Yay! We actually have another set coming as well since we are staying at two different disney hotels. Can we use both or do we have to deactivate one?

You can use both.

You can use either/both. We have similar split stay coming up (three resorts...not original plan but it's happening!) and have clarified that we can use any of the Magic Bands we'll be getting. We could deactivate two of the three sets of Bands and just use one set, but they're coming in different colors, and my kids are already excited about wearing different bands with different outfits, so I guess we'll keep them all active. Thankfully, they print your name (or whatever you request) inside the band, so they will be a little easier to keep up with as we start cross-pollinating colors.

I was there last week, I've managed to collect every color except orange. I used a pink one from my November trip with no problems. I did notice it is getting dirty & worn, I'll probably order another pink for my next trip since it's my favorite.

You can use both/either. No need to deactivate or do anything else.

What I've wondered is if you have more than one linked to the same ticket and you are having problems with one, will that be the case with the other ones linked to same ticket? Could you bring more than one with you to the park in case you have trouble with the one you are wearing?

...and therein lies the problem that they may be dealing with for years into the future. Hard to know whether something has gone wrong with a MB until you try to use it for something and at that point, it's too late unless you have a spare...but who wants to carry multiple bands around with them? In theory, you'll only have a MB if you are staying on property or if you have an AP. If you have an AP, then presumably you'll also have your actual AP card in your wallet/or purse as a precautionary measure. If you're staying on property, then you will more than likely have had a chance to try the MB to open your resort room door or for some other purpose and will know if it's working (and confirm that tickets are linked).
